Confidence is Key

"I don't know if that's a good idea."

"Why?"

"Because then we'll both fall asleep."

"And? We both need my rest."

"Fine. But as soon as you fall asleep, I have to go back to work."

Harry awkwardly came closer to me and sat next to me, but I immediately moved in closer to him.

It wasn't long before I fell asleep, resting on his chest.

Harry's POV

As soon as Jasmine fell asleep, I made sure a nurse was going to continuously monitor her until I came back.

I called up the guys, knowing at least one of them was going to be in the flat.

Luckily Niall picked up his phone. I asked him to try to find everything to make Jasmine's bed so that when we get to the flat she can get a proper rest.

I guess Ni and Louis are at the flat, but Liam is at the hospital answering a page for some reason. We just got here and both of us are already at work. But Jasmine isn't really work to me, I wouldn't want her to be in anybody else's hands, but mine.

Hopefully, we can get to the flat soon, and we can start work and life like normal.

I grabbed some paperwork that I needed to look at and took it to Jasmine's room so that I would be there just in case she woke up.

I slip back into Jasmine's room without waking her. I'm sure she's going to be out for another couple of hours, enough time for me to finish all this paperwork too.

About halfway through my paperwork, my boss slips into her room, sitting next to me.

"So this is our Director of Sports Medicine?" He asked, looking from her to me.

"Yeah, she's done amazing work as a physical therapist. She'll do great here."

"I trust your opinion, my boy. You have an eye for the good ones."

"Thank you, sir."

"Be careful with her. Have a good night."

"Yes, sir."

I must've fallen asleep while doing paperwork because the sun blinded me as it seeped into Jasmine's room. She was still sleeping peacefully. I can't wait to show her the flat and the city.

I get up to get her chart and to take her vitals, hating the idea that this is going to wake her up.

I looked at the machines and at the blood pressure machine that started taking her blood pressure, knowing that that would wake her.

I watched her stir as I recorded her vitals and BP down.

"Harry?"

I looked down at Jasmine, whose eyes were bloodshot.

"Yes, love?"

"Good morning."

"Good morning. Do you have a headache, love?" I asked, looking at her empty bag of fluids.

"No?"

"Is that a confident no?"

"I don't have a headache."

"Good. Because then I can discharge you under my close supervision."

Her eyes lit up at the sound of that.

"Can we get breakfast? I'm starving."

"After you get discharged, we can. I can't wait to show you the city."
