After getting back to my dorm Carter is still awake a reading a book of potions, when I enter, they look up to see me and lunge for me.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" they scream at me (A/N: I wrote this and hear Molly Weasley screaming at her children) I flinch startled, Carter is normally calm, relaxed, and super happy. I may have scared them, there is a large amount of guilt I feel.

"So, I was sort of... uh...helping Ron, Harry and Hermione fight a troll that had gone into the girls' bathrooms..." I say with a nervous voice, carter stares at me in shock.

"Y-you d-did WHAT?!" carter fumbled over their words. "YOU COULD HAVE DIED!" (A/N: yet again thinking of Molly Weasley screaming at her children)

"Carter, I am very aware of that fact – McGonagall made that very clear, as did Snape." I sigh knowing that they won't let this go anytime soon, I just hope that the whole school doesn't find out, but knowing peeves they will, 'Those damn ghosts love to gossip about students.' I think to myself.

"McGonagall AND SNAPE!? HOW DID YOU NOT DIE!" honestly I don't have the energy to deal with this right now. I ignore Carter for the time as I change into my pyjamas, I know that they will yell at me until either one of us falls asleep, and I am right; after around thirty minutes Carters starts slowing down their speech and their words slur together. I soon hear snoring. I would go to sleep but my mind is still racing as I think about the events of today.

I wake up to my owl (that I use as an alarm clock) going crazy. Carter groans and literally roll out of bed I release a slight giggle as I hear them fall to the floor with a loud thud.

"Oh, shut up! I'm still mad!" Carter says as they lift themselves off the floor and prepare for breakfast "Are you working with Malfoy on the essay today?"

"Yeah, but we should be done by today unless Snape assigns more work," I respond to Carter's question. "Are you still working with Parkinson today?" I say with a smirk knowing Carter really doesn't like the idea of being with the most annoying person in our house, and yes, she outdoes Malfoy along with Dumb and Dumber. {a/n: thanks to the person who commented something about this, sorry I can't really remember} After hearing Cater rant the entire time from getting dressed to walking to the great hall for breakfast, I point out food and Carter instantly shuts up reaching for some food. As always, the Weasley twins are being comedians and making most of the Gryffindor table laugh as all the other houses are left confused as to what they are talking about.

When I look around, I see Harry and Ron entering the hall. I'm still wondering why he won't talk to me, I'll have to talk to him somehow. I miss having my twin by my side.

As I make my way to potions class not prepared to deal with Malfoy, but I know that we should be able to finish off our essay today, either in class or later in the library. All we have to do is form our notes into actual sentences for the essay, but if we do it out of class, we could actually get the work done together based off the fact that when there is nobody to show off to her is a lot easier to deal with.

I take a seat with Carter by my side even though we both know we will have to move soon; we wait to move seats until Professor Snape enters the room and gives us the run-down of the class and tells us to get to work. Pansy moves to take my seat and I move to Malfoy; I prepare to be hit with some snarky comment but instead, he shifts his chair over enough for me to place my books next to him. We start forming the essay with as little conversation as possible, we get around a quarter of the work done when Snape dismisses the class.

"Same time and place as yesterday?" Malfoy asks me.

"Sure," I mutter as I pack all my things up and rush to Carter to see if they are also working on the work today. "Carter! Are you working with Parkinson today after classes?" they groan and I instantly know the response.

"Yes, unfortunately, we are working in the great hall. are you working with Malfoy later too?" they ask in return and I nod

"Same as yesterday in the library at five. I really just want to get this over with."

"I get that. She is so annoying, and her work is sloppy, I can't even read her writing, so I have to write it. Also, side note: why don't they let us use actual pens? Like ink and quill is for people from the eighteenth century!" I laugh at them, but they're not wrong.
