With tingling hands Jennie opened the entrance door of the registry office. Submitting their registration was extremely easy and went by quickly. Jennie already printed out the papers and they signed them after writing down their personal information.

"That's it." The worker across the other side of the desk put s stamp on it. "You are officially married. Congratulations."

He gave them a smile to which they returned a small one. They were a bit dazed since it was so easy. And they still had to wrap their heads around what they just did.

"We are married..." Jisoo murmured.

"We are." Jennie echoed, glancing at the paper.

"Would you two like to buy our 'we got married' basket?" The middle aged man didn't let the opportunity slip by to promote their souvenirs.

It was a small basket, two pink and white stuffed rabbits inside as well as chocolate and wine.

Jennie whipped her head towards Jisoo, the intensity of her gaze, surprising Jisoo.

"Can you buy that for me, darling?"

Jisoo almost choked on the thin air when she heard the soft tone of Jennie's voice as she spoke to her affectionately. It only took one more batting of her eyelashes and Jisoo fished out her wallet.

They returned to Jisoo's apartment with the basket as the elder laid it on the table in the living room. Turns out Jisoo is living in a small two-roomed apartment. The kitchen and living room were merged as one. Otherwise there was the tiny bedroom which had a door that led to an even tinier bathroom.

It looks quite cosy and modest. Jennie's bedroom in her parent's mansion by itself already had the size of the whole apartment so this will take some time getting used to.

"Jisoo." Jennie took a seat on her English roll arm sofa. "Where do I sleep?" The raven only had one bed so Jennie had to ask.

"The sofa?" Jisoo asked but Jennie's face told her that was the wrong answer. "Eh my bed...?" Her face scrunched up, indicating it was yet again the wrong answer. "Let's buy a bed for you...?" Jennie's face lit up. Right answer.

Thus Jennie spent the night on Jisoo's bed while Jisoo slept on the sofa and first thing next morning they went out to buy a bed for the brunette. To go out she was given an oversized sweater and loose pants from the raven since she only had the pair of clothes she ran away with.

"I want you to sell your own bed and buy a double sized one." Jennie requested.

Jisoo choked on the air. She really was serious about marrying Jisoo?

"Which one do you like?" Jennie clinged on her arm and took her around from shop to shop, making Jisoo feel dizzy.

"You choose." Jisoo allowed Jennie to take a pick because clearly she was looking forward to live together which Jisoo can't fathom. They are clearly not on the same page.

What being married and living together for Jisoo means, is providing Jennie a shelter while also defying her parents. But to Jennie, it wasn't fake dating. When she decides to do something, she does it wholeheartedly. She would at least try with 110% of her capabilities before she accepts defeat and can accept that the whole setup was a mistake.

"This mattress is so soft." Jennie traced her palm over the white mattress.

Jisoo's eyes darted to the price tag, it made her gulp. She was starting that high up...

"How about this one?" Jisoo quickly led her to a cheaper one.

"Hmm..." Jennie pondered, then turned to Jisoo once she was done. "I think I get it. You want a smaller one because you are a person who likes to cuddle right? Well you are in luck, I also do like receiving hugs."

"That's not..." Jisoo tried to deny but Jennie was already smiling and accepted that choice.

Are they really going to snuggle? Jisoo's ears heated up. No she will definitely build a pillow wall between them.

"This is going to be a struggle..." Jisoo looked at the all the screws and parts of the bed which they sprawled all over the floor. "Where is the instruction?"

"Don't worry darling. I'm good at this." Jennie assured her and reached for the instruction. She skimmed through each page and then laid the paper back on the floor. "Okay I get it now."

"That fast?" Jisoo's eyebrows moved upwards, she eyed Jennie who was already on her feet and sorted the screws.

"Do we have tools darling?" Jennie asked sweetly.

"Um yes and you don't have to call me darling... Jisoo is fine." The raven opened a cupboard and handed her the toolbox.

"I like to refer to you that way though." Jennie shrugged her shoulders. "I feel less like a stranger."

Jisoo nodded, allowing her to continue a fond way of speaking if it makes her more comfortable.

"Can you hold the wood here?"

Jennie instructed and had Jisoo play her assistant as she mounted the rail hangers. She secured them and attached the support rails.

Jisoo watched and handed Jennie whatever tool she needed. The brunette cut a groove into the support block and support beam. Then she attached the support blocks, as well as beams and connected the rails. Last was the wooden mattress surface which they fit on the bedframe.

"You are good with craft?" Jisoo asked astounded.

"I'm good at everything." Jennie stated bluntly. "But I don't excel in a lot."

"I'm sure that's not true." Jisoo stated in disbelief. "Do you want to try the bed out?" The raven was already on her way to drag the mattress on top of it.

The brunette smiled softly and slowly let her body drop on the mattress.

"Not bad."

"You can live with that?" Jisoo interrogated.

"I will get adjusted in no time." Jennie nodded, closing her eyes and allowing her bones to rest.

For the rest of the day they bought groceries and clothes for Jennie. Jisoo made sure to subtly guide Jennie to cheaper shops for her to afford this unplanned series of purchases.

Usually Jisoo plans the amount of money she spends per month. She needs to be more careful with the money until next month, or get another job. Feeding one more person will obviously require a change from her.

Now the hardest challenge of the day will take its course. Sharing a bed with her wife. Even thinking of Jennie as her wife still feels odd.

They just met yesterday!

Momentarily she is wondering what the hell she is doing again but that thought disappeared when she looked at Jennie, cutely lying in bed and patting the spot beside her repeatedly.

Whatever they are doing, it's all going to work out eventually, she believes.
