Um, hello again!

Enjoy a second chapter for today <3

Hanna was quiet for a few seconds, then looking at me.  I only saw it out of the corner of my eye, as I refused to look at her.  The silence was pounding, like you could hear my heartbeat amongst the bitter quiet.

"Wow Vin,"  She laughed a little, she grabbed my hand.  Not as Kio did, more of a reassuring grab.

"My ship has sailed."  Hanna laughed and I immediately felt immense relief.  I couldn't help but laugh as well, feeling the twisted knot in my upset stomach untie.  Just like with Kio, I'd hyped it up so much as to be a terrible thing.

I actually exhale a loud breath and Hanna giggles,

"You're good, Vinnie.  I still love you, you're still my best friend."  She tells me.  Hearing these words was every synonym of amazing.  "I'm proud of you."

"Did you know?" I ask.

She shakes her head.

"And you still shipped it?"  I ask.

"I know a great love story when I see one."  She simply laughed and took another drink.  I laughed and looked up at the ceiling of the car.  I cannot believe I just did that.  Said that.

Speak of the devil I got a text from Kio as I started driving off.  At the next red light I checked it, reading it, I immediately smiled.  Hanna being Hanna, looked over my shoulder at the text.

"OOH, he wants you to come over! You guys gonna-"

"Don't even say it."

"I was just gonna say bake some cookies."  Hanna smiled too innocently and shrugged her shoulders.

I swear, this girl.

It was the next morning and Kio and I had agreed on nine in the morning, on a Sunday, that would've been way too early for me to wake up.  Seeing as I was going to see Kio, I made an exception.  I might have freaked out a little throwing shirts around my room trying to pick the perfect one to wear.

I settled with a black Metallica sweatshirt and ripped black jeans.  Better simple than over the top, right?

On my way there I also started freaking out wondering if I was hopelessly underdressed.  It was too late as I pulled onto the side of his house.

"Vinnie!"  I heard a loud, excited Kio yell.  He is running towards me and wraps me in a long hug.  He's never done that before, but I take it in as if he'd done it for years.

"Hey Kio." I laugh and rub his back.

Kio grabs my arm and ushers me back to his house.  His house is relatively big, not huge, but a good size with stairs in the entryway, where you can also see the kitchen, living room and what I'm guessing is a gaming room.

It's a very modern looking house with multiple white and brown colors.  It was beautiful nonetheless.  I feel Kio pull me into the living room and I see a pretty woman putting down a box.  She turns around.  She is rather short with long black hair.  She looked a lot like Kio.

"Mom, this is Vinnie.  Vinnie, this is my mom."  Kio smiled widely.

"Ah, hello Vinnie!"  She beamed, "Kio is this your boyfriend?"  His mom asked and I widened my eyes looking at Kio.

"No! No mom, h-he's just a friend."  Kio quickly says.

"Yep, just a friend."  I laugh nervously.

"You guys would be cute together, that's all I'm saying,"  She laughs and looks at me, "Can you get the tree out of that white box right there."  She pointed to a white, old looking box on the floor.  I nod smiling and open the box.

Upon opening it, I heard was sounded like claws scraping onto the would floor,

"Mochi!" Was all I heard from Kio before being somewhat tackled by a dog.  Me being me, I started laughing at the puppy on my chest.  Kio quickly grabbed the Doberman and positioned him away from the room.

"Sorry Vinnie," Kio grabbed my hand to help me up.  We kept our hands there, even after I'd gotten up.

"Like I said, cute."  His mom yelled the last part, causing Kio to turn beet red and me to nearly die laughing while setting up the tree.

We spent most of the morning setting up the Christmas tree.  I was the one to put on the last ornament, which was one that I'm guessing Kio had made when he was younger, it was a sparkly star with a school picture of him in the middle.

"Aww Kio!"  I showed him and pinched his cheeks,

"Stop." He elongated the 'o' sound and pushed my hand away, then rubbing his cheeks.  I was confused as to what they did next.  They shut all the curtains and turned off all the lights.

Until Kio plugged in the tree and it was absolutely beautiful.

It was a beautiful moment as we all looked at the large lit up Christmas tree in the living room,

"Thank you for inviting me over, Ms. Cyr,"  I smile.

"You're welcome any time, Vinnie."  She smiled at me as she exited the room.  I smile at Kio as he sits on the leather couch that's facing the Christmas tree.

I decided to sit down next to him and smile at him.  He smiles back and slowly lays on top of me.

I smile even wider as the scent of apples hits me and I start playing with his fluffy hair, wrapping my other arm around his waist to somewhat secure him.  Next thing I know he is letting out soft snores.

 He's absolutely precious.

I start to drift off, not before hearing a quiet camera click as I fall asleep.
