I walk in and already the memories come flowing back. I can't believe I left this. It felt good to be back here. Back in New York I felt that I was missing something in my city life, and now I know what it was. I had missed Brian, and the rest of the gang. I missed the family feel that I had here. The fact that everyone knew who I was, and knew what ticked me off. I missed the safe feeling that the gang had worked so hard establish. My memory disappeared as 2 arms wrapped around my waist.
"Hey, wanna come dance with me?" asked Brian. I tried to act serious for a moment, but I didn't work. My face broke into an everlasting smile,
"Fine, I guess I have nothing better to do." I said sarcastically as his hands took mine and we hopped onto the dance floor.
4 hours later music was still blasting through my ears. I completely forgot how much my legs hurt after dancing, but I still enjoyed it. After a while my head started to hurt and I pulled Brian over.
"Hey, can we get going my head is starting to kill me." This had been a constant issue since the bashing. It's hard to believe that only 6 years ago I had been fighting for my life in the hospital. Brian gave me a kiss and said,
"Of course sunshine, I was getting kinda bored anyway, let's get outta here." We said goodbye to the gang and left. In 10 minutes we were back in the loft. I had fallen half asleep in the car, so when Brian parked he picked me up and brought me into the loft.
"Beep Beep Beep" I wake up to the annoying sound of the alarm clock. I open my eyes and glance over at the clock 6:48 it read. I turn the other way to see Brian in the bathroom getting ready.
"When did you get up?" I asked him. He looked over at me. He was wearing his ususal suit for work and was attempting to put on a tie.
"5:00," he said as I got out of bed and went over to the sink and took out my toothbrush.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked him I turned on the water and squeezed out the toothpaste.
"You were passed out, I decided that you needed the sleep." He said I finished brushing and turned off he water. Brian was no in the bedroom putting on his shoes. I grabbed the tie and fixed it.
"I hope you were using the zip-up ties I got you while I was gone." I told him. Now Brian was good at many things, but tying a tie wasn't one of them.
"I did. Now I have to go, but I'm getting out early so we can spend some time together." I kissed him as he walked into the kitchen.
"Ok, I'm probably gonna head to the diner, and then maybe I'll go the the comic store. Have a good day." He grabbed his coffee from the counter and said,
"Bye." With that he left. Now what to do?
