I didn't believe in soulmates
Even when I saw you.
I went into denial
As if it was nothing I knew.
I ran from myself
Thinking I'd be free
But I caged myself from the greatest surprise
Life ever gave me.
I didn't believe in soulmates
Till she held out her heart.
And I didn't feel pain
Till she had to depart.
Love,
Margo.
