Nobody POV
It was the week before Valentine's Day. Natsu was pretty bummed out because him and Gray really wanted to adopt but they had to wait another month or more to hear back from the lady that worked with them. Natsu had always wanted children of his own but of course two men can't have a child so they decided to adopt.
Natsu didn't mind that the child wasn't blood, he just wanted a child of his own. Gray on the other hand had the perfect gift in mind. He told the lady to lie and tell Natsu they had to wait a month or more when they actually can pick up the child next week. This was perfect timing because it was Valentine's Day.
Natsu was in their soon to be daughter's room adding more toys and fixing the bed sheets. Gray was at the door leaning against the frame. "What's wrong?" Gray asked noticing how sad and nervous Natsu looked. "What if they change their minds and decline us..?" Natsu stopped and looked at Gray with teary eyes. "I really want this and..I don't know what I'll do if they don't accept us.." Gray walked over and pulled Natsu into a tight hug and kissed his forehead. "It's gonna be okay, she'll be here soon I promise. I want this for us too so you gotta have a little faith that it'll all work out in the end.." Natsu nodded and hugged Gray back.
Natsu's POV(2 days until Valentine's Day)
I was cleaning up the house while Gray was at the store buying groceries for the house. I finished up most of the cleaning within about 2 hours, more or less before I heard the front door open. I came downstairs and saw Gray locking the door back while holding groceries in his hands. I wore a white shirt with some shorts with my black socks that went a little above my ankles. "Welcome home" I said helping him with the food.
Gray's POV
I walked in with my hands full of groceries as I struggled to lock the door. I saw Natsu coming down the stairs in some shorts with a pretty thin white shirt and black socks. "Welcome home" I heard him say as he helped me with the groceries. "You seem like you're in a better mood today" I said as we both started putting everything away. "You think so? I'm pretty happy actually but probably because of Valentine's Day in 2 days" Natsu said putting some juice away. I walked over and out my arms around his waist tightly as I kissed the top of his head. Natsu put his arms over mine and leaned into me. "I'm glad to see you feeling better now. How about I make dinner and finish up in here while you shower and chill for a bit, hm?" I felt Natsu nod and I kissed his head one more time before sending him on his way.
Natsu POV
I smiled as I walked away, leaving Gray to finish putting the food away and make dinner. I walked past the child's room on my way to the bathroom and smiled. "Soon..." I mumbled as I went to take a shower.
About 20 minutes later I finished my shower and changed into some more comfortable clothes. I lazily walked downstairs, smelling the food Gray had started cooking. I snook into the kitchen and took a piece of the chicken he made.
Nobody POV
Natsu went into the kitchen and quickly took a piece of chicken just in time before Gray turned around and noticed him. "Oh hey, I didn't hear you come down" Gray said reaching past Natsu and flipping the chicken. Natsu swallowed the piece he took and kissed Gray's cheek then hummed as he went to get juice. "Well..I took my shower and now I'm chilling like you said. You want some help in here?" He took a sip of his juice. "No, go sit on the couch and pick a movie for us to watch I'll be done soon" Gray shooed Natsu away into the living room. "Okay then..let's watch something scary!" Natsu said as he immediately started looking at scary movies to watch.
