Third-person POV

In the early hours of the morning, Mike's sister Serena had not returned home, leaving him increasingly concerned. As the clock struck 7 AM, his anxiety grew, as there was no trace of her whereabouts. Determined to find her, Mike calmly contacted John Hardy, requesting that he locate Serena at all costs.

However, after an hour, John's call revealed that his efforts had been in vain – Serena was nowhere to be found, which struck Mike as profoundly perplexing.

Suddenly, a glimmer of recollection sparked in Mike's mind, and he realized the reason why his sister could not be located. Without hesitation, he placed a call to Katherine, Serena's close friend, but to his dismay, his initial attempts went unanswered.

Finally, when Katherine picked up, Mike posed the pressing question, "Is Serena with you?" Katherine's response, "What? No! Didn't she go home last night?" only added to the growing sense of unease that Mike felt.

Determined to uncover the truth, Mike promptly ended the call, resolving to reach out to other contacts who might hold the key to Serena's whereabouts. With a growing sense of urgency, he turned his attention to calling Asher, another close friend of Serena's, hoping that she might have sought refuge with him during this perplexing disappearance.

"Hello, Bonjour, Hola how may-"

"Shut up and tell me is Serena with you?"

Silence.

"Asher?"

"No, what happened?" he asked in a serious tone, all his playfulness gone.

Mike sighed and recounted everything.

"Did you reach her?"

"Yes, but her number is switched off."

"Katherine?"

"I tried, but she seems lost in her world. She mentioned that Serena went home."

"Hmm, I'll check with Blake."

"Hurry, I feel like Blake might not be okay either."

Asher swiftly ended the call and attempted to reach Blake, but his phone was off, sending a shiver down his spine. Both of his closest friends' phones were off.

He hastily changed and headed downstairs where his parents were engrossed in conversation.

Upon seeing Asher, Dove greeted him with a smile. "Good morning, honey. Where are you headed?"

Asher noticed his parents seated on the sofa. Before he could speak, Alexander inquired, "Asher, what's the matter? Everything okay?"

Asher shook his head indicating otherwise. While Alexander furrowed his brow, Dove appeared visibly concerned.

"What's wrong, Asher?" Dove inquired.

Asher nervously bit his lip before speaking up. "Serena is missing, and Blake's phone is off."
