Happy new year!" At once, we shouted along with the noise of fireworks above the sky.

"Happy new year, Ms. Sungit." he whispered in my ear. Even though I couldn't hear it clearly I still smiled at him and greeted him.

He hugged me so I hugged him back while smiling. We stared at the fireworks above the sky together while still smiling.

"It's beautiful." he suddenly said.

"Yes, it's beautiful." sabi ko habang nakatingin sa fireworks sa kalangitan.

"That's not what I meant." he said so I frowned and looked at him.

"Eh ano?" tanong ko habang nakakunot ang noo.

He suddenly brought his face closer to me and I could feel his breath now hitting my face.

"You, you're beautiful." he said.

This again the nervousness I feel when his beautiful eyes is looking at me and when he is close to me. Bumaba ang paningin niya mula sa mga mata ko pababa sa labi ko kaya napalunok ako ng wala sa oras dahil sa kaba. Pakiramdam ko ang init ng paligid kahit malakas ang simoy ng hangin dahil nasa dalampasigan kami.

I looked at the people around who were also looking at the fireworks. I was surprised when he suddenly pulled me away from the crowd and away from the beach.

"Where are we going?" I asked as we are walking at magkahawak ang kamay.

"Basta." he said and winked.

Mas lalong nadagdagan ang kaba na nararamdaman ko sa pag kindat niya sa akin. Damn this man. We took the elevator and when we got out of the elevator, we stopped at the room just next to Valentina and I 's hotel room. I was about to speak when he pulled me inside.

"C-cailie, what are we d-doing here?"  tanong ko ng makapasok na kami sa hotel room nilang dalawa ni Atlas.

"Stay here." he made me sit on the sofa and he entered his room.

I roam my gaze around the room. Malaki at maganda din ang hotel room ni Cailie at Atlas pero magkaiba lang ang design ng hotel room nila at hotel room namin ni Valentina. I looked at him again when he came out of his room. Now he was hiding something behind him. He sat down next to me and smiled.

"What's that?" I asked him.

"Close your eyes first." he said so I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Why?" I asked.

"Just close your eyes, Ms. Sungit." he said and stood behind me so I could do nothing but to close my eyes.

Naramdaman ko nalang na hinawi niya ang buhok ko. He wore something around my neck and when I open my eyes, tumambad sa akin ang silver necklace na pag aari ko na ibinigay ko sa kanya noong mga bata pa kami at may pendant na letter D, which symbolizes the first letter of my name.

"Why did you gave this back to me?" I asked him as he sat next to me.

"It's time for me to give it back to you, didn't we promise before that when we meet again we will return our necklaces to each other at the same time?" he said so I smiled.

"I'm sorry, I didn't bring your necklace." I said but he just gave me a smile.

"It's okay, just return it to me next time. Gusto ko na ikaw mismo ang magsuot sa akin ng kwintas ." sabi niya at pinagsiklop ang mga kamay namin.

"Bestfriend?" He said as I held the necklace around my neck.

"Hmm?" I replied and looked at him.

Ayan na naman ang mga titig niya na para bang nakakatunaw.
