JN.

The eradicating beating of Jisoo's heart didn't go unbeknownst to Jennie. She breathed out and felt herself warming up as she snuggled against the elder's back. Jisoo sped by the second. Red and white flashes of the car lights graced the black canvas around them. The only sound she registered was the rubber of the wheels whirring on the street, as well as Jisoo's heart beat. Or was it her own..? She isn't sure anymore.

The alley led upside an hill, thus Jisoo panted as she pedalled with all her might.

"It's a nice night..." Jennie sounded. She spoke quietly. If she wasn't practically squished on Jisoo's body, she wouldn't have heard her.

"It is." Jisoo husked, smiling heartily. Soon they arrived and halted. They stepped down and untangled their limbs from the other. While Jisoo locked up her bike, Jennie breathed into her hands, trying to get rid of the deep blush on her cheeks.

"Let's go?" Jisoo held her hand out to which Jennie instinctively reached out and interlocked their arms.

Side by side they walked to the shiny house on top of the hill. The music boomed around the neighbourhood as the neon lights lit up the greenery.

"Be careful and don't leave my side." Jisoo whispered when they were given entrance by the security.

"Back to you." Jennie nodded obediently.

They mingled awkwardly in the crowd and tried not to stand out as they observed their environment. It appeared like a regular party with the the sweaty crowd on the dance floor, the Christmas themed decoration, a funky DJ and a quite gracious amount of served appetizers and cocktails in every corner.

"He went all out. To impress you?" Jisoo furrowed her eyebrows, holding Jennie's waist as she swayed her body to the slow song that played.

"I doubt it but let's see." Jennie winced as an upbeat melody suddenly shot through the speakers, making everyone jump and dance uncontrollably.

Jisoo must have figured Jennie prefers slow songs and decided to pull her out of the crowd. To a small table full of cocktails and shrimps. Instantly the raven poured one of those drinks into her throat.

"Jisoo! You are our driver!" Jennie scolded.

"I can hold my liquor, don't worry. I would never put you in danger." Jisoo promised.

"Hey Jis! You made your girlfriend wear a sexy Santa costume?" Doyoung rudely squished himself between them from behind and grinned. Figures he would attend since he became somewhat "close" to Taeyong.

"Shut up." Jisoo shoved Doyoung's shoulder. "She is not wearing a sexy Santa costume. She is wearing a Santa costume and is sexy." She clarified.

The unapologetic remark made Jennie lower her head and tug on her red pants in embarrassment. Not only did Jisoo call her sexy but she also ignored the part where she was referred to as her girlfriend.

"I'm Doyoung." He introduced himself curtly to Jennie.

"I already know." Jennie blurted out and the look Jisoo just gave her reminded her he doesn't know that. "I-I mean I know because Jisoo told me about you..."

"She did?" Doyoung laughed. "Of course you did. I'm the most interesting conversation topic you know of." He grinned at Jisoo.

"Don't you have some guy to flirt with? I would like to be alone with my date." Jisoo rolled her eyes.

"Sure. Have fun girls." He left after winking suggestively.

Taking Jennie out to this party was a great idea in Jisoo's head. She would spend time with her and at the same time find out what Taeyong is scheming. But the younger rarely met her eyes and when she did, she averted her gaze quickly. Her cheeks then donned a red tone. She is so cute, it makes Jisoo want to tease her a lot.

"Your eyes are so pretty." Jisoo awed and as expected Jennie blushed, curling her hair with her finger in embarrassment. She muttered a slight thank you and nodded.

"Your cheeks are so cute."

Jennie hummed, bobbing her head once more in response.

"You are so beautiful--"

"You are distracting me." Jennie whined. Her lips puckering up into a soft pout.

"From what?" Jisoo's lips tucked into a smile. She smoothly put her arm around Jennie's waist and kept it there.

"From trying to spot Taeyong." Jennie reminded.

"Well then you should multitask because I told you, I only play detective with you if you are my date." Jisoo reminded cockily I'm return.

"Then what do you expect from a date?" Jennie tilted her face questioningly.

"Uh," Jisoo knitted her eyebrows together as she pondered. "We can talk, or dance or play a game."

"That's it?"

"Yep. Disappointing?"

Jennie shook her head. She didn't look disappointed either, she just appeared as if she had no idea what to do. And knowing her for a bit already, Jisoo knew the younger would enjoy herself more if she gets a small push.

"Do you want to play beer pong? Doyoung said they do it with wassail instead of beer to get into the spirit and that's like easier to drink for you."

"What does it taste like?"

"Hot cider with orange, apple and cinnamon flavour basically." Jisoo informed her. "So?"

"I'm not sure." Jennie said honestly.

"How about this, if we miss, I will drink both of our cups." Jisoo suggested. "If you want you can try a sip before that though."

Jennie nodded. She gave Jisoo a small smile, indicating that she liked the idea.

In hindsight she did seem like she had fun. If Jisoo could judge by her smiles and high fives she received when they scored, as well as her tiny giggles when Jisoo missed horribly like really horribly. Once she tried to toss ahead but somehow the ball went backwards as it flew from her fingers.

"You came to like the taste yet?" Jisoo handed Jennie a cup while she chugged the other down. The younger took a little sip and handed it back to Jisoo.

"It gets better with every cup." Jennie chuckled, watching the older girl who drank all of it. "I think I need to use the restroom."

"I will accompany you."

"You don't have to." Jennie shook her head, swatting her hands in the air.

"Jennie I don't let my dates alone in a crowded party." Jisoo frowned in dismay. She wasn't feeling good about this. The need to look out for her was strong.

"I appreciate that but I'm perfectly capable of using the restroom alone. So just wait for me. I'll be back in a second. Okay?"

Jisoo's frown deepened. "Don't wanna wait. Want to go with you." She complained.

She wasn't going to let Jennie go alone, she really wasn't going to but when suddenly the younger kissed her in the corner of her lips, all sense left her. That was the first time Jennie initiated skinship between them without it being in the heat of the moment. And for that first to be a kiss no less, made Jisoo feel dizzy. Her heart was clapping in happiness.

"I don't let my dates wait too long. Rest assured." Jennie smiled before she turned her back to Jisoo and strutted away. Her big brown boots stepping ahead.
