Family Reunion

We got to New Orleans the next day and the first thing I did was dress in this, 

Which course showed off my butterfly belly button ring.

Hope grabbed books and we turned and walked to the bed as Freya said "Your dad is strong that works against him here. The energy will feed off of that strength, he will quickly go mad and it won't be long before he's unrecognizable and impossibly dangerous to all of us." Hope said "Ok how long will that take?" I said "Days?" Freya said "More like hours." Hope and I said "So today?" Freya said "Yeah." Hope said "Alright, so we will have to pull the darkness out of him divide it up again." I said "Hope thats not a good idea, immortal or not they have a weakness with each other, they have to see each other. They will continue to push the boundaries until the world falls." Freya said "Harmony is right, that puts us back where we started with the family scattered through the world until something calls them back."

Hope said "Ok then we keep him asleep, he won't be angry when he's asleep, we'll just brick him up in the head garden and that'll at least slow it down." I hugged Hope close to me as Freya closed the grimoire and said "I need you to hear me on this Hope, there's not enough magic in the world to slow this down." Hope grabbed my hands that rested on her stomach as tears fell out of her eyes. Hope said "Harm can you come with me to see him?" I said "Of course Hope, lead the way." I let go of her and she grabbed my hand, we walked to where he was chained up but it was empty. Marcel came in and said "So it's true." Hope said "We have to find him." Marcel said "It's Marty Gras out there the streets will be packed to the rafters."

Hope said "Well he'll be the one foaming at the mouth and ranting." Marcel said "Exactly which is why I don't think its a good idea for either of you to be out there." Hope said "It's better than being fatherless." Hope dragged me out and we walked the streets, Hope had to keep ahold of my hand as I was enthralled with everything. Marcel caught up saying "Hope, Hope, come on Hope we both know first hand what he's up against, the voices, the rage..." Hope said "He's in this mess because he was trying to save me just like always." Marcel said "You put him down, he got back up, you put him down again the same is gonna happen." She stopped walking and turned on him saying "So what? We're orphans at 15? You guys are always saying I need someone to take care of me, well who's gonna take care of me if he goes? Uncle Elijah? You? No of course not because you have your own never-ending life to live, so just go and let us have our last moments with our father." 

She put her wrist up and I copied her, we gave him an aneurysm and we walked away. We managed to find him and Hope said "Dad! Come on, let's go home." she held her free hand out to him, his eyes turned blue due to the hallow but it faded and then Elijah snapped his neck grabbing him and Marcel grabbed both of us. Marcel took us home and I walked upstairs, I saw pictures, one was of Klaus, Hayley, Bekah, Elijah, baby Hope, and baby me. One was of Keelin, Freya, and Kol at the alter, one was Davina and Kol, there was Hope and Hayley, Hope grown up, Davina and Marcel, and the last one was Hayley and Elijah.

Hope walked up behind me and I said "I don't even exist in pictures." Hope picked up the one where we were babies and said "You're here." I said "I was six months old Hope, and that is the last one of me, the one of you and mom? we were six and I lived with you at that time so where is me?" Caroline came up and said "Harmony, come with me." I said "Coming momma." Care walked out and I looked at Hope and said "This is why I didn't call them mom and dad, they didn't care about me." I walked out to meet up with Caroline, who wrapped her arm around my shoulder and said "I know its hard, but you got me and your dad, and the girls." I said "I know mom, I love you." She said "I love you too my little Butterfly." we walked out onto the balcony and Care said "Don't make me murder you while you contemplate killing yourself." he turned around and smiled at her, Klaus said "Caroline, if your here to stop me..." 

I leaned against the wall and Care held up her hand walking toward him as she said "Im here to collect a debt and to watch my daughter." she played a recording "Caroline, I am standing in one of my favorite places in the world, surrounded by food, music, art, culture, and all I can think about is showing it to you maybe one day you'll let me." she put her phone away as Klaus said "You saved it." Caroline said "You owe me a tour." Klaus said "Alright, a tour you will get." Care pulled me to Klaus and they both hugged me, they pulled back and Klaus saw my butterfly and said "When...?" Care said "She started to ask when she was 13 and so when she turned 15 Ric and I decided she had wanted it long enough so for her birthday we took her to get it." I smiled and said "The Butterfly is because they have called me that since I was 7, they said I had flew into their life making it better just like a butterfly." 

Klaus said "Well it is a beautiful butterfly." I said "Thank you, Hope picked the color." Care grabbed my face with her hands and said "Listen closely." I said "Ok, I'm listening." Care said "While I am gone, I need you to listen to Elijah and Freya, and please do not cause problems. I realize you are having trouble dealing with everything, and when we get home your dad and I will take you out to eat and we will talk, but for now be on your best behavior." I said "I promise, no comments." She said "Good, I'll get a present for you girls while I'm out." she kissed my head and they jumped the railing and was gone, I sighed and walked back into the house. 

I walked into Hope's room and walked over to her she pulled me onto her bed and I laid down, Elijah walked in and Hope said "He left instead of spending his last hours with us." Elijah said "he's hurt and he's scared." Hope said "That's no excuse." Elijah walked toward the bed festering me to sit up so I complied as he said "I'm not making excuses, if anything he cares too much. Hope, you and Harmony are his everything and without either of you he wouldn't be making this sacrifice. Do you understand you accomplished in 15 years what I couldn't in 1000?" Elijah said "He's afraid." Klaus walked in making Elijah turn to face him Klaus said "I'd like a moment alone with my daughters please." 

Elijah said "Of course." he walked out and I got up heading for the door, I got to the door when my hand was grabbed. I looked behind me and saw Klaus was the one who grabbed me and said "I meant you too, Harmony I realize I wasn't a good father to you, but you are still my daughter and I love you so please stay." I looked at Hope who smiled at me so I said "Ok, I'll stay I promise." he kissed my head and said "Girls please, scream, yell, break something if you have to, just don't look at me like that." Hope said "This isn't right." Klaus said "A father protecting his daughters, I'd say thats exactly right." Hope said "Elijah was willing to take the curse completely." 

Klaus said "What kind of father allows another man to die for his child?" Hope crossed her arms and said "The kind who loves her." Klaus said "I love you! I love you both, its just the way of the world. Children bury their parents every day, it happens every hour. It's a truth this family has avoid at all cost." Hope said "Yeah but we just got you back, so why does it have to be today?" we hugged each other as she was crying and honestly I was trying not to,  he walked toward us and said "Listen, I've not lived an honorable life you know that but doing this... Taking the darkness into myself so no one else is afflicted by it that is an honorable death and I can do that, I can do it. Because you both have helped me feel something that I never thought was possible... unconditional love, my daughters, my heirs, come here, your both my heart." We were silently crying, all three of us were and he pulled us into a hug.
