Well John B did turn up

Well John B did turn up. He turned up looking pretty dandy despite the navy blue cast on his left arm. He explained that the doctors claimed it was a hairline fracture and should be healed before the end of the summer break. Then he gave a very brief explanation on how he was now living with the Cameron family - information that I was still processing a little. They really just took in a teenager like no problem at all?

I had to ask again. "I'm sorry your staying where?"

"Tannyhill." He answered again.

"So you're living with Sarah Cameron?" Kie scoffs, flittering away to collect her next order.

John B sighs, "Look, the only reason I'm living there, is because her dad bailed me out, right?" He sounded like he was begging her to accept it. "And that's way better than foster care -which is where I was about to go if Ward didn't-"

"Hey so do you have a membership to the clubs now?" Pope asked opening the flood gates for us all.

I grinned leaning onto Pope. "What about the golfcarts?" I wonder.

"Ooh yeah! You got one of them?" JJ smirks before gulping down a drink that Kie set down on the table for us.

"And does it come with a sweater-vest or do have to buy one on your own?" Pope continued relaxing back in his seat. I couldn't stop the amused smile, as JB rolled his eyes as us slumping back into his seat.

"You done?" He suggested in a monotone voice.

"You promised you weren't with her." Kie spoke up bringing all the jokes to a halt.

John B looked to her wide eyed and chose to deny the obvious once again.

"Bro just own it, she got you." JJ shrugged, bored of it.

"Look if you wanna hang out with her, that's fine. But I'm letting you know now, that I'm not doing anything with Sarah."

I shifted uncomfortably feeling Kie's eyes look to me. I pushed up off Pope's shoulder and folded my arms across my chest. "If Kie's not, then I can't." I shrugged making John B sigh pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Do you guys see her here?!" when we didn't answer, he continued for us: "No, right? A little focus would be fantastic." He scolded us watching as Pope examined the map he placed on the table. "We've got the map." he reminded us what he was using Sarah for.

"Yeah and it's out of whack 'cause the guy was ganja'd when he drew it." JJ complained.

I'd looked at the map a little, but it barely looked like the OBX so it confused me more than any map-reading ever had; and I gave up. JJ's words, made me not feel as stupid for trying and failing.

"It's 'cause the coast has changed." Kie said her eyes narrowing on the map.

"So we look for the landmarks that haven't changed." Pope said looking up at us.
