It had all been a dream? No... that wasn't the case in fact. It was hard for Makall to realize that her son was alive, after she had been told he was dead. It was hard to have my whole family after they all died.

What was death even like? I hadn't experienced it yet; I had only lived through the pain that came from losing those you loved to it.

I had been capable of looking death in the eyes and telling him "Not today".

But over time, everyone's memories came back; Makall and myself were an exception to that however since it started with us awakening from the events. Annabelle found herself visiting Midgard often to be with Steve once their memory came back to them and it was painful to see her growing up. She was now 18 and that meant she'd grow up at the pace anyone in Asgard would.

I remember, a few months after the events that had occurred, Odin had found Makall and I in the garden Lady Jane tended to often. Makall had been leaning against me in my arms as we sat together on a stone bench under the cherry blossoms; eyes closed and all to ourselves with just the sound of our breathing mingled together.

He entered so quietly that not even I could hear him with my superior hearing. But when he spoke, we did not shutter or jump, but simply Makall stayed still; relaxed against my body as I looked up to my father. He stood tall with a beard and hair as white as fresh snow.

"My son..." He began with a soft voice.

"Yes, father?" I was very calm as the wind whistled gently past Makall and I.

"You called me here to discuss the events that occurred?"

Makall sat up at once upon hearing this. I stood. "I would yes." I bluntly stated.

"It's quiet simple. I protected you from Laufey's sickened mind. He had plans to kill you all."

Makall stood, taking my hand in hers. "We were fully aware. But we want to know how..." Odin held his hand up and interrupted.

"The reason Jonathan is alive is because I reversed time. Far before anything had happened. Makall, your illness has vanished, and Annabelle only suffered a few cuts and scrapes. But those who were involved in what occurred are the only ones to remember anything. Otherwise, those who weren't are living their lives normally as they had months ago." Odin simply stood before us as if nothing had been said.

He had saved my life and those lives of the people I love. I couldn't repay him enough. Never. I owed him so much and yet, I was still in debt. I attempted to kill him almost. I was forever in debt to Odin until he dies on his death bed.

"Father, does Laufey live?" Odin looked between Makall and myself, nodding solemnly.

"Alas, he does. I'm afraid as long as he does live; your family and Asgard will never be safe from him." Odin shook his head is distaste before turning on his heel and leaving Makall and I speechless in the garden under the trees.

Makall and I exchanged glances before I shook my head; instantly she understood and grabbed my arms. "Don't do it Loki!" She pleaded as I resisted against her.

"Love, I must. For the sake of this family; for the sake of your safety and the children's, also for mine."

Makall's hands dropped from my shoulders. "Only if you are prepared for the consequences to follow love..." I nodded to her, kissed her cheek and sighed.

"Odin won't take you from me... Gods be good and he won't." She giggled.

"The gods don't seem to be in your favor lately."

     "Let's hope that changes, yeah?"
