Chapter 5

King Julian's party is amazing. Lemurs including the punies he calls them are enjoying themselves, and also you. You even didn't know Alex dance so well, he told you that he and his friends are from New York before they were about to be shipped to Africa. They live in a zoo where humans watch their spectacular performance. If you were ever in that imagination, you would be amazed of Alex's dancing skills.

The best part was he offered you to dance with him and you accepted it. It was weird before dancing with a wild animal but got over it. Y/n really enjoys dancing with a popular animal at the zoo.

After the dance, Alex has been acting strange since you and the guests arrived at the party. For example, the lion is feeling hyper and his blue-colored eyes grew big like he ate a large amount of sugar. Also, his brown mane is a mess sticking out like he has bed head. You were curious about Alex's behavior but thought it was his party instinct kicking in. You really like the excitement flowing out of Alex as he jump around the party.

Marty: "Ladies and gentleman, primates and human of course of all ages!" The part when Marty said human, he is mentioning about you. I mean, you're the only human living and surviving on the Madagascar island.

Marty: "The wild proudly presents: the king! Alex the lion!"

Lemurs and y/n cheer at the king. You are excited to watch his performance he did when he was at the zoo. It is your first time.
Some of the lemurs bang empty logs as bongos or drums for background music as Alex stepped up on top of the edge of the rock.
Alex strike some remarkable poses in front of the lemurs, his friends, and you. Y/n clap of amusement.

Marty: "Do the roar man! Do the roar!"

Alex made a realistic lion roar, this cause everyone to stop cheering. The roar seems so real and menacing but they think it is part of his act. They cheered again of that roar, you really love his roar, it's so wild.

Marty: "Break out the waves!"

Alex's arms are up making everyone to do the wave and everyone did.

In his POV, his eyes stare at the small animals with a hunger expression. His smell caught his attention, he look down at the small animals as his steak dinner. The hallucination of his wild instinct is kicking in, the hunger look on his face cause the claws to appear on his finger as he ready to pounce on his prey. Marty however is distracted by the lemurs following him to do the wave until-

Marty: "OWWW!"

Everyone stopped as their eyes widen in shock. They saw what was happening. Alex is biting Marty's butt while everyone stayed quiet.

Y/N was also shock of Alex's action. This wasn't an act he made up, it was real.

Marty: "Um excuse me, you're biting my butt!"

Alex: "No I'm not." He said while his mouth is on Marty's butt.

Marty: "Yes you are."

Alex then spit it out and remove the fur out of his tongue.

Gloria: "Alex, what did you do?"

Marty: "He bit me on the butt."

Alex: "No, I didn't. But I-" he was cut off by Melmin.

Melmin: "You kinda did."

Marty: "He bit me on the butt. What the heck is wrong with you?"

Alex tried to explain the situation, Y/n tried to intervene but she was stopped by King Julian's assistance Maurice.

Maurice: "It's because you are his dinner."

His friends are a bit shock of his comment. You on the other hand think it's ridiculous but thoughts have come running through her mind why he did it. The hunger expression forming on his face made sense now. It was his animal instinct caused him to bite Marty but I guess he kinda snapped out of it.

King Julian stepped in as well: "Come come Maurice, what is a simple bite on the buttock among friends. Here give me a neighbor."

Maurice: "The party is over Julian, you're brilliant plan has failed."

Marty: "What are you talking about?"

Maurice: "Your friend here is what we call a deluxe model running and eating machine. And he eats steak, which is you."

They think it preposterous of his believing in Alex thinking that is a savage and terrifying animal.

King Julian complain that his plan failed and also believing in every Maurice's words about Alex is true. Y/n doesn't think it's not true.

The hallucination inside Alex is kicking in again as he saw the lemurs and his friends as his steak dinner. While King Julian made a royal statement that Alex will be banished and also be sent to the Fossa side of their territory.

Marty: "Wha? Come on, do I look like a steak to you?"

Alex: " Yeah!"

Marty: "You see, I told you I don't look like a- wait, w-w-what did you say?"

Alex: "Oh...yeah..!" He said with a crazy expression as he position himself and growl in hunger.

Mort: "He's going savage..."

King Julian: "Run for your lives!"

Everyone ran away from this terrifying scene, his friends ran away from the wild side as he chase after his dinner, Marty.
You followed and try to stop him before he kills his zebra friend. His speed is going fast coming close to Marty, you manage to climb up the palm tree, pick a coconut, and threw it at Alex stopping on his tracks. It worked perfectly. However, you felt bad on doing this to him, I mean he turned savage and almost caught Marty. You even made new friends.

Alex came back into reality as he saw his friend ran away.

Alex: "What is wrong with me?!" He yelled at himself but didn't know when he put his hands on his head, his claws poke him and they're sticking out. He realize what he has done and felt terrified of his actions.

Alex: "Oh no..what have I done. It's true, I'm a monster." He said with a scared look on his friend. He didn't mean it on hurting his friends like that.

You slide down the palm on the palm tree trying to reason with him but his action got too quick when he turn his whole body facing to you.

Alex: "Y-you! Y-Y/n stay back! I don't want to hurt you!"

You ignore his complaint and continue to step towards him. Your expression is filled with worries. You see his expression terrified and guilt. You reach out to touch his head to soothe him but it got out of hand.

Alex: "I said...stay. AWAY!" He snapped and letting out a menacing roar in front of your face; he raise his right arm pulling out his claws to scratch you in defense. You tried to dodge but his claws swoop down fast and scratch the right side of your upper chest, and also your necklace being ripped off. You fell on the ground bleeding, you groan and cry in pain of the scratch mark Alex left you. He was shock of what he did to you. He tried to apologize but her face shows no apology, it's shows betrayed and hurt.

Alex stepped back and ran off out of the open area of the jungle leaving you bleeding.

Maurice: "Oh my goodness, your goddess are you hurt?" He said as King Julian follow his servant.

Y/n didn't reply and felt the pain stinging more. Tears stream down from her eyes of Alex hurting you like that. How could he do that to you? You were trying to calm him down but it was a big mistake trusting him leaving you a huge scratch and left you to die from blood loss.

Maurice: "We gotta heal you goddess before you lose some more blood." He said but you refuse.

You refuse and stood up slowly while holding pressure to stop the bleeding from the huge scratch on the right side upper chest. You walk slowly and walking back to your hut. Your breath became thick while walking with two legs.

Y/n: 'I hope Marty and the others are ok. They gotta be ok.'
