Draco, Albert, Crabbe and Goyle were heading for their first potions class with Professor Snape, who was also the head of Slytherin House. The Potions class was held in the Dungeons and all their potions classes were with Gryffindor.

The Potions classroom was cold and chilly, and the only thing that produced heat was a fire that enchanted to stay lit forever and extinguish when someone did something wrong. In front of the 4 of them, was walking Neville Longbottom. Albert could talk to everyone except Neville Longbottom, he would stutter and was unable to make words come out. Draco especially loved teasing Neville as he was an easy target. "Alright there Longbottom!" Draco shouted from behind. Neville turned and whimpered. "Looking for your brains are you?" Draco said as if taunting him. Draco moved forwards, Albert tried to stop him but he walked on.

"Stay away from me Malfoy! I am worth 12 of you," Neville said softly. Draco roared with laughter, even Albert couldn't control his laughter. "Well then, Locomotor Mortis!" Draco shouted as he hit a leg-locking curse at Neville. Neville stopped moving at the spot. Draco  laughed even more as they entered the classroom. Half of the class was already there, and Professor Snape was holding a register.

"Now when I call you name, I don't want you to say anything, I know very well who you are," He started calling out names, starting with Albert himself.

"Mr. Adkins," Snape said, giving him a curious look. He then started calling out everyone.

"Mr. Zabini"
"Mr. Thomas"
"Mr. Malfoy"
"Mr. Potter," Snape paused at this name, "Our new celebrity," He said, which made the whole Slytherin House laugh.

The period was boring, as they were making a cure for boils. Albert spent most of the time in the common room, reading or talking to his friends. At the Dinner Table, he would usually sit between Draco and Blaise, as the one opposite to him was always occupied by Pansy Parkinson. Albert enjoyed sitting in the library as well, where he would search for his parents. He had absolutely no idea of where they were or exactly why they were away from him. One day, Hermione Granger, a muggleborn sat in front of him. He had to make sure Draco, or even Crabbe or Goyle didn't see it, or he will be a laughing stock at the Slytherin Common Room.

"What is that you are reading?" She asked. This took Albert by surprise, "Oh, this, this is notable achievements of Wizards and Witches" Albert said. "Can I read it after you are done," she asked. "Yes of course, actually I had just taken this for light reading," He said. Then Hermione took the book to sit at another table, where there was no one sitting.

Albert went back to the common room quietly.

One day, in the notice board, there was written the date of flying lessons, which was to be done with Gryffindor. The flying lessons were to be taken in a large field, where around 15 brooms were laid vertical on the ground. Madam Hooch was the teacher, she had short yellow hair and was holding a broom herself. "Now I want your whole concentration." She said. "I want you all to stand on your right side of your broom and say 'UP'. She said. Harry was the first to have a broom in his hand, which worked on his first try. He was followed by Draco and Albert himself, who were one of a quite few of them who managed it.

The next thing that they did was that they mounted their brooms, however Neville did this too quickly, as he shot of into the sky. He zig-zagged around the field until he fell with a broken wrist. Madam Hooch escorted him into the Hospital Wing, when Draco decided to have his kind of fun. Bullying. Albert's personality had changed massively, a boy who was once a bully was now a boy who tried to stick to the rules. "Just look at him! Can't even ride a broom properly! That fat Longbottom," Draco said. "Oh look! A Remembrall!" Draco said, picking up a red ball.

"Give it here Malfoy!" Harry said, coming forward.

"No, I will probably leave it for him to find, up a tree perhaps," Draco said as he flew on his broom.

"What's the matter Potter! Too high for your reach!" Draco said from up. Harry was mounting on his broom. "Stop! Don't, didn't you hear what Madam Hooch said, besides, you don't even know how to fly!" Hermione said. Harry absolutely paying no heed on her words mounted his broom and took off, he was now level with Draco.

"Give it here Malfoy, or I will knock you of your broom!" Harry said, "Really Potter, well here go, catch it if u can," Draco told as he threw the Remembrall at a very high speed, at Professor McGonagall's office. Harry zoomed towards it, by doing a 50 foot dive and caught the Remembrall. Draco came down. The whole class was cheering, except the Slytherin House, as they kept quiet. Even Albert couldn't stop cheering for Harry. Professor McGonagall was coming through the courtyard, everyone could hear her muttering, "Never in my time at Hogwarts,"

"Mr. Potter, come here," McGonagall said. as he dragged him into the castle. Draco sniggered.
