The heir of Lestrange

Chapter 7

When Draco returned from the holidays, he was more smug than usual. He would be usually found boasting about his dad buying him a broomstick, or bullying Neville Longbottom. One day Neville came to Albert, "Albert, please tell Draco not to bully me, I have seen you talking to Hermione, you are not like other Slytherins," He said whimpering. Albert tried to respond, be instead came a soft stutter, he just nodded. Albert didn't know how he would tell Draco, but he had made his promise. So, he walked towards the Slytherin Common Room where he found Draco boasting again. 

"Ah, Albert, we were waiting for you," Draco said. Albert walked and sat down. "So, where was I, yeah, father reckons that he will buy me the Nimbus 2001, which is due released of course, but he will try and pre-order it, you know my father's a but popular at the Ministry, so I am sure good ol' Fudge will give it to him," He said pompously. 

"But, how are you going to get it to school?" Millicent asked. "I have my ways," Draco said. Albert got up, he never had any interest in Quidditch, but he could ride a broom pretty well. Albert went to the library, in hoped of finding Hermione or Harry.

Albert was successful, in finding both of them, and Ron, who were seated on one of the tables. Hermione was the first to see him, "Albert!" She called out, as he went to sit next to them, to sit next to his friends. "Any progress?" Albert asked. Harry shook his head. They weren't even looking for any info on the Philosopher's Stone, they were studying for Transfiguration. "Albert, why aren't you studying?" Hermione asked. 

"Oh, me, well I already studied, but I guess I revise," Albert said. He went to get some books. And sat down next to the trio. He tried to avoid Draco all the time, but also tried to be with Neville, as he had promised him. The exams had reduced the tension between them in order to protect the stone. However, they did get to know one thing. Professor Quirrell was doing his best to protect the stone from Snape. The last game of the Quidditch Cup was approaching, it was few days after the end of exams, Draco had occupied himself by trying to trip Harry whenever they crossed. Hermione was getting even more stressed on exams than she usually was, which is saying something. She would mutter jinxes and hexes and would do wand movements until late in the night. Albert also stopped wasting time around the school, he practically lived in the Library. Madam Pince, the librarian would usually tell him to leave. Finally Transfiguration exam appeared around the corner. Everyone was exhausted by the practice and reading. Even Draco forgot to bully Neville. Millicent was asking everyone to help her study. Crabbe and Goyle weren't even reading. After Transfiguration they had Charms. The last exam was History of Magic which was taught by the only ghost professor in Hogwarts, professor Binns. 

After the exams the trio and Albert met up. "Today midnight we leave, Snape knows how to get past Fluffy, Albert try and delay Snape, do your best," with this they left.
