Four days later, Monday, August 2019
Lisa crossed her arms and frowned at the women sitting across the table from her; they were eating in the kitchen. What was wrong with the girl? She knew she hardly interacted with the girl; it wasn't as if she felt obligated. It wasn't her job to babysit the "psycho" according to their deal. But why was Rosé refusing to look at her in her eyes? Why would she only whisper to her and spend most of her day locked in her room? No, Lisa did not tolerate being ignored; it didn't matter how badly she was dressed or how innocent a girl might have been; she always had an immediate alluring effect on women.
"Have you regained any of your memories?" Lisa pointed at her head. "Do it soon so I can have my privacy back."
Rosé didn't even react to that comment. She kept her ladylike composure and continued eating with her fork and knife, delicately cutting each bite.
"Come on! Tell me, what's the matter with you? Are you upset that I called you a maid? Cavendish, I had to lie to her. I couldn't tell her that a stranger ended up in my apartment and was now living with me; if I told her that, other women would be lining up to do the same thing. People wouldn't understand; they're all savages."
"They're all savages?" Rosé whispered as she carefully wiped her lips; her delicate manners drove Lisa crazy. "Well, you're wrong. I haven't met too many people after the accident, but Dr. Jeon is a total gentleman."
"Jungkook? He's reformed now, but less than five years ago, he was worse than I am."
Rosé was throwing Lisa daggers with her eyes. Bravo, she had finally made the girl look at her in the eyes!
"You haven't the faintest idea of how men use to be true gentlemen; they knew how to court a woman properly. I'm not sure how women pursue other women nowadays; I assume they are better at it than men with their naturally delicate charm. Or at least I would hope so because you, Miss Manoban, leave much to be desired."
She got up from the table, determined to end their conversation. The irritated girl had planned to distance herself as much as possible to clear her head; that way, she could concentrate on investigating the purpose of her time skip and the theory of reincarnation. Rosé finished putting away her plates in a thing called a "dishwasher" and closed its door. When she turned around, Lisa was violating her personal space. Rosé was trapped; Lisa had placed a firm hand on each side of her body, using the dishwasher as support. The blonde hair girl nervously clenched her jaw but didn't fear the girl in front of her. She wondered why; perhaps it was because she wasn't a man and knew she wouldn't hurt her like William. Was that it?
"Since I'm a woman, you're saying I should be better at it than men. Well then, Cavendish, how did gentlemen act before?" Lisa curiously leaned in to ask.
Rosé proudly lifted her head; there was no one better than her who could give lessons about the 18th century's proper etiquette.
"First, they wouldn't be invading a lady's personal space." She muttered, concentrating on the model's eyes. "Second, they spoke with respect, something you don't know how to do. Third, they showered women with beautiful gestures. I could sit here all day telling you what 18th-century men were like. You really can't imagine the twists and turns that occur in life. Perhaps you were a very humble person in your past life, but now you've turned into-"She looked at her from head to toes. "This, Lisa Manoban."
Rosé shoved Lisa's arm away; she wasn't scared; her courage must have come from the annoyance running through her veins. Lisa was wrong if she thought she could do whatever she wanted with her; Rosé wouldn't allow that to happen. She may have been from a different era; she may have had an innocent mind compared to the "promiscuous" women of the 21st century, but if she was going to spend her time with that woman while trying to discover her journey's purpose, she wasn't going to let herself be intimidated.
