"Thank you for the books, miss!" I say to the librarian, as I wave her goodbye. "Anytime, Y/N. Have a good afternoon." She said, while putting away a fantasy book. I exit the library, and looked through the books I got. As I finished looking at the books, I hear a commotion coming from the Tree of Feelings. Curious, I look up at the tree and see a group of humans and monsters shouting at a skeleton. "Why're they doing  that? That's not okay. I must do something, and quickly." I think to myself, as I made my way over to the tree. As I got closer, I could hear what the groups were shouting. "Seriously, who thought it would be a good idea for someone like you to exist? You're a worthless mistake, and that's all you'll ever be!" One of the humans said, throwing a rock at the skeleton, who was trying his best not to cry. I dropped my books, picked up a rock of my own, and threw it at the person who threw a rock first. "OW! WHO DID THAT?!" He shouted, as he looked around. "I did. Now how about you leave the skeleton alone? Or do you want me to throw another rock at your pea-brained head?" I say, picking up another rock. They growl, and walk away. I dropped the rock, and immediately went to check up on the skeleton, who was curled up in a ball. "Hey...are you ok?" I ask, softly. He looks up in shock, and stares at me for a moment. This skeleton is wearing a purple and white long sleeve shirt, black pants, purple boots, a gold belt with "NM" carved into it, and a golden crown. He blinks, and finally responded to my question. "I guess...thank you." He said, in what seemed like a whisper. I give him a smile and sat down next to him. "My name is Y/N." I say, extending my hand to him. He looks at it for a moment, then looks at me. "N-Nightmare. My name is Nightmare." He said, shaking my hand. "Oh, I'm guessing you're the one that has to guard the negative side of the Tree of Feelings? That's pretty amazing." I say, amazed that I was talking to a guardian. He looked shocked by my comment, but he smiled and said thank you. We eventually started talking. Basically things like what was our favorite books to read, our favorite foods, and etc. I noticed he started acting a lot more happy than earlier. I was showing Nightmare the books I had gotten from the library, when all of a sudden, I hear a voice. "Hi, brother! I'm so sorry I didn't arrive sooner, but I was having a fun time making flower crowns with my friends!" The voice said, happily. I looked towards where the voice was, and saw another skeleton running towards the tree. This skeleton looked a lot like Nightmare, except this skeleton was wearing a mint green and white short sleeve shirt, blue pants, yellow boots, a yellow cape, a gold belt with "DS" carved into it, and a gold crown. I can only assume this is Nightmare's brother, Dream. He immediately stopped when he saw me. "Oh, hello miss! How are you?" He asked, curious about me. "I'm doing fine, thank you. I assume you're Dream?" I ask, tilting my head to the side. "That's me! Brother, I'm glad to see that you've made a friend." He said, handing Nightmare a purple flower crown. "Her name is Y/N. And she's an amazing person to talk to." Nightmare said, proudly. I giggled, and took a look at my watch. "Oh crud! It's late! I have to get back home now!" I thought to myself. I try standing up, but felt something grab my hand. I look back, and see Nightmare holding my hand, looking confused. "Wait, where are you going?" He asked, confused. "Oh, I'm sorry Nightmare. I have to go home. It was nice talking to you. Bye Nightmare, bye Dream." I say, pulling his hand away from mine. I grab my books, and start walking away. Before I make my way home, I look back to Nightmare, who looks confused and sad, and waved goodbye while giving him a smile. I turn around, and made my way home. I walk through the door, and immediately got greeted by my Dad, who looks angry. "Y/N, where were you today?" He asked, calmly. I gulped, and tried saying something. "Well...you see...I was uh...I was at the library...and I-" was all I could get out before I get pinned to the wall by my neck. "I saw you talking to that guardian earlier! I'm FORBIDDING you from talking to that worthless mistake again!" He said angrily. I tried to say something, but I couldn't because he kept squeezing my neck. "What's going on here?" A female voice asked, getting closer. I see my Mom walk in and immediately got shocked by the sight of Dad pinning me against a wall. "D/N! Let go of Y/N this instant!" Mom said, summoning a spear. Dad looked at Mom for a moment, sighed, and let me go. "I'm going out." He said, before he left. Mom ran towards me, and checked my neck for any marks. "Y/N, are you ok? Did he hurt you before he pinned you?" She asked, concerned about me. I don't say anything, but hug her. "Don't worry Y/N. One day, he'll be out of our lives. I'm just waiting until I find the perfect opportunity for divorce, ok?" She said, stroking my hair. "Ok...I love you." I say.

I...feel weird. I don't have any idea what I'm feeling. It feels weird...but good in a sense. "I wanna see Y/N again...I wanna feel this feeling again." I think to myself, as I slowly place my sleeping brother against the tree, and tried remembering where Y/N was going. I see her, and I immediately feel that weird feeling again. "What is this feeling??? I don't get it, and I want to be able to get it. Whatever it is, it feels amazing." I think to myself, as I kept following her. She went inside her house, and I look through the window to see a man pin her against a wall by her neck. All of a sudden, I felt another feeling. It was something close to when those people would bully me, but more intense. It made me want to hurt him. A woman then walks in and shouts at the man. The man drops Y/N, and walks out the front door. I look at that man...and contemplate on following him. "He hurt Y/N...I don't want him to hurt her again. That's it, I can't take it. I'm following him, and making sure he never hurts Y/N again." I think to myself, as I follow him. I guess he felt my aura, because he started walking faster. I use my magic to shove him into an ally. "What do you want, you worthless mistake?" He asked, summoning a knife. "Nothing too big. I'm sure you can handle it." I say, shrugging. I walk towards him, and make him back up. "I don't like how you hurt Y/N. She's such a sweet person, and you dare hurt her? People like you make me sick." I say, making a disgusted face. The man ends up backing into a wall. He looked at it, then looked back at me, fear in his eyes. I guess my reputation of being a dangerous person is working out perfectly for what I'm about to do. "So here's what I'm going to do. If you promise to let Y/N talk to me, and not hurt her anymore, I will leave you alone. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to...punish you." I say, summoning a sharp bone attack. "No way am I letting my daughter talk to someone as-" was all he could say before I started stabbing him. I couldn't stop myself, and I found myself tearing his body up. Eventually, I stopped stabbing, and looked at the mess I've made. The man that presumably was Y/N's father was beyond recognition with multiple stab wounds around his chest, stomach, and face especially. I couldn't help but smile at what I've done. "That felt amazing...but not as amazing as the feeling I get when I'm around Y/N." I think to myself, as I started cleaning most of the blood up. I was able to clean the blood up from my clothes thankfully, and I immediately teleported away. I decided to look at Y/N one last time before I go back to the tree. I teleported towards Y/N's house, and looked around the house, until I saw Y/N's sleeping body. I stare at her for a moment, then smile. "Don't worry, Y/N. You're safe...for now. If anyone tries to hurt you again, I'll make sure to get rid of them. Just for you. Goodbye Y/N, and sweet dreams."  I think to myself, as I walk away to the tree.
