I wake up to something moving beside me. I look over to my left side, and saw Nightmare leaving the room we were in. After he closed the door I sat up, stretched a bit, and looked around the room. "Wait...am I in Nightmare's room???" I thought as I jumped up from the bed. I immediately leave his room to go to my room. I didn't get far, because I accidentally bumped into somebody. "Oh, Y/N. Good morning." Nightmare said, while looking down at me. He smiled, and I flash him a quick smile. I also mutter a "good morning" back before walking again. Apparently he didn't want the conversation to end there, so he followed me. "So, did you sleep well?" Nightmare asked. I stopped, and turned around to look at him. "Sure, I guess. I had a more peaceful dream, if that's what you mean." I said, before walking again. I get to my bedroom door, before I get hugged from behind. I sighed in annoyance, and looked at Nightmare, who was resting his head on my head. "That's good to hear, dear. I would've felt terrible if you hadn't." He said, casually. "Please don't call me "dear". It's making me feel uncomfortable." I said, while trying to get his arms off my waist. "Then what should I call you? Should I call you princess? Sweetie?" Nightmare asked, confused. I give him a look that clearly states "please stop, you make me want to drink holy water", and tried getting his arms off my waist again. "Oh wait, I know. How about N/N? It suits you." Nightmare asked. "Fine. N/N it is then. Can you please let go of me now?" I ask politely. I finally feel him let go of me. "Ok. I'm going to go to the kitchen and get something to eat. I'll see you there, N/N." He said, satisfied. I look at him, and noticed that his eyes were shifting from cyan to that familiar color of lavender Nightmare used to have. "Huh...that's new. Does his eyes shift colors like that depending on his mood?" I thought, as I stare at Nightmare, who was walking towards the kitchen. I shake my head, and went inside my room to change. After that, I make my way to the kitchen as well. And once again, I bump into Nightmare, who's holding a plate of eggs and bacon. He doesn't say anything, but he pats my head, and went about his way. "Huh, that's strange...normally he would try talking to me whenever we run into each other. Did something happen?" I thought to myself, as I went to the kitchen. When I went inside, I saw an unfamiliar scene. No one, and I mean NO ONE, in the kitchen. "Oh boy...something's wrong." I say aloud. "Don't worry, nothing's wrong." Nightmare said. I jump, and turn around to see Nightmare leaning against the doorway. "Where's...Where's everyone?" I ask, hesitantly. He smiled, and started walking towards me. I started walking backwards, until my back hit the counter. Nightmare approaches me, and puts his hand on my face. "I've sent everyone on a mission. It's just you and me in this castle." He said, tilting his head slightly. I look down to the floor, and tried inching away from him. He slammed his hands against the counter, trapping me. "Why...? Why are you so scared of me...? You've know me the longest. We've been friends for what feels like forever, but yet now you're acting like I'm a complete stranger. I even comforted you when you had a bad dream. So why...?" He asked, while tilting my head up so I would look him in his eyes. He looks super upset, and angry. This look scared me, making me whimper a bit. "I...I don't know if you're still the same Nightmare I knew-" I began to say, but Nightmare covered my mouth with a tentacle. "That's not a good excuse, Y/N. You weren't scared of me back then. I didn't even do anything to make you so scared of me. Has Dream been putting ideas in your head about me?" He said, with a hint of jealousy in his voice. I put the tentacle down, and answered him. "Wha...? No. I haven't even went to visit Dream yet. There were guards stopping me from doing that." I said, in a calm voice, hoping it would calm him down. His look started to soften, and he sighed. "Then why are you so scared of me? If it isn't Dream putting ideas in your head, then what has been making you scared of me?" He demanded. I didn't know what to say. It was just a gut feeling that he had done something worth of me being scared of him. "I can't say it's a gut feeling, he's not going to accept that answer. Should I lie...?" I thought, as Nightmare stared at me, waiting for an answer. "Well? I want you to answer me." He said, annoyed. I sigh, and decided to lie. "It's just...those bad dreams I've been having. They're just too realistic. I'm just scared it'll actually happen..." I say, pretending to be sad and scared. Nightmare looks at me for a moment, then does something I didn't expect. He leans close, and kisses me on my lips.

I've done my absolute best to keep my calm while I kissed N/N. "Oh my god is this really happening??? Is this a dream??? If it's a dream, I don't wanna wake up. If it's not a dream, I can't believe this is happening oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god..." I thought, as I break the kiss. She looks at me while covering her mouth. "N/N, why didn't you tell me it was because you were having bad dreams of me? If you had said that the first time, I would've completely understood." I said, while stroking her face. She looked up at me, confusion in her eyes. I chuckled softly, and gave her one more kiss on her cheek. "Remember, I care about you. A lot, actually. I would do whatever it takes to make sure you're safe. From now on, I think it would be better if you started sleeping with me." I say,in a comforting tone. "Wait, what? Why?" She asked, confused. "I've recently started learning and training myself how to give people good dreams. Which is why you had a peaceful dream last night. That's why I asked you if you slept well." I said, while smiling. She nodded her head slowly, and I start walking away. "I'm going to our room. If you need something, you know where to find me." I said, and walked out of the kitchen. When I entered my...no me and N/N's room, I sat down on the bed, and started giggling to myself as I remembered the kiss I gave to N/N. "That actually happened...I finally did it...Was it a dream...?" I asked myself, still giggling a bit. I gave myself a pinch on my arm just to make sure. It hurt a lot, letting me know that I'm indeed not dreaming. I smile and lied down on the bed. "This isn't a dream. It's real. I finally kissed the girl of my dreams." I thought happily.
