You never thought that you would be returning to Childe's apartment, much less within 24 hours of your previous visit. The walk took much longer than it had earlier in the day because you practically had to drag him there, he had lost so much blood. Luckily he'd left the door unlocked, so you wouldn't have to fumble around to find the right key.
He flopped down on the couch while you went into his bathroom to find the first-aid kit. It was easy enough to locate, sitting on one of the shelves above the toilet. While in there you also grabbed a few towels to soak up the blood. Hopefully Childe wouldn't mind some stains...
Returning to the living room, you quickly set to work to take care of his injury. Pulling up a stool next to the couch, you took his hand and gingerly unwrapped the scarf, which had already become completely soaked through. Replacing it with a towel, you had him hold it there while you covered some gauze in ointment to clean it.
Childe just looked at you as you worked, eyes half-lidded as his vision grew spotty at the edges. The best he could do to remain conscious was focus on the pain and your soft touch. He was weak, however, and it wasn't long until he slumped forward to rest his head on your shoulder. You found it far too intimate and tensed as heat climbed up your cheeks.
"Ch-childe? What are you doing?" You asked him, still holding his limp hand in yours. "Are you okay?"
"Mmm... yeah," he sighed into your neck. "You're really warm..."
You laughed nervously, "Aahhaha, wow you are really out of it. Maybe don't lose so much blood next time, yeah?" You noticed how cold he was, and if he hadn't been leaning on you so much you would have gone to fetch a blanket for him. "Uh- you need to rest. Let me finish wrapping this and I can go-"
"No," Childe interrupted you as he jerked his head up. "Please, stay." You could see his face flush in the lamplight and pressed your free hand against his forehead to see if he had a fever. He didn't.
"I really can't stay..."
"You need to make sure I don't die anyway, right?" He smirked at you, though it was unconvincing.
You could see the pain and desperation in his eyes, and he looked at you like you were a glass of water in a desert; something in him needed you here, tonight. And so you relented. He passed out on the couch not long after you finished with the bandages, and you sat at the same end of the couch you'd been on when you first visited earlier that day. You kept an eye on him from there, until you slipped into sleep as well.

Knocking softly on Y/N's door, Kaeya waited for her to open the door. After a few moments of complete silence, he cracked it open, expecting to find you still asleep. He was startled to find her blankets tossed aside and curtains billowing in the breeze from your open window. He panicked, thinking someone had broken in and taken Y/N in the night until he noticed the note sitting on her nightstand.
The relief given by the fact she had left a note comforted Kaeya for a moment until he opened it, and that feeling was swiftly replaced with dread. He called her phone to see if she would pick up but it was still tucked in the jacket she'd worn during her first meeting with Tartaglia yesterday, so he stormed out of the abandoned hotel that most of the Ord Favonius operated out of, and hurried to the place where Y/N had gone to meet with Tartaglia twice now.
Arriving at the pond where he'd found Y/N yesterday, Kaeya saw what could only confirm his fears. Some blood-stained leaves, and signs of a scuffle in the mud. As well as the switchblade that had behind left behind from the altercation. He stuffed the weapon in his pocket and returned to the hideout to devise a plan with Jean.
