"Okay Thor try not to crush the kid" Tony chuckled and Thor loosened his grip slightly before gently placing back on the seat and sitting next to me.

"So kid do you know why Hydra turned you into a snake?" I shook my head aggressively before pointing at myself shaking my head and then pointing at Tony who gave me a look of utter confusion.

I rolled my eyes before tapping Thor on the shoulder then pointing at myself again and pointing to Tony he looked confused for a second before understanding what I meant.

"Oh Dentra isn't human he's a lamia, you've heard of merpeople yes? Well like that but half snake instead of half fish." Thor explained

Natasha chose this moment to speak up "But in his file it describes him as a naga?"

Thor laughed loudly making me wince at the volume
"no, nagas don't exist its just people who made up stories after seeing a lamia and somehow missing the arms" I nodded in agreement

"So he's an alien?" Tony asked and I shook my head wildly and pointed to the ground
"You were born here? But there aren't lamias on earth." I nodded my head saying there was

Tony crossed his arms "then how come nobody has ever seen one" I tilted my head and pointed to myself
"Yeah yeah except for you." I nodded my head in understanding and covered my eyes before uncovering them again.

"Hiding?" I nodded "I'd hate to play hide and seek against one of you guys then." He chuckled and the conversation ended as he went to take a phone call before going to talk to Bruce.

I stayed next to Thor for the rest of the plane ride and eventually fell asleep on his lap with him running his fingers through my hair. I could just about make out the sound of someone talking to him before I fell asleep but was too tired to care.

I was gently woken up by Wanda causing me to let out a quiet hiss before groggily opening my eyes. The first thing I noticed was that we were the only ones left on the plane and that Thor had somehow left without waking me up. I looked around slightly panicked as I used my arms to push myself into a sitting position Wanda seemed to sense my panic and placed her hands on my shoulders to ground me.

"They've just gone inside and Thor is making sure you're room is acceptable. I've got a wheelchair here for you since Bruce says to stay off your legs, you're also going to have to stay in this form until you have healed, do you think you can manage that?" I gave her a small smile and thumbs up before making grabby hands towards the wheelchair, since I was desperate to move on my own again.

Wanda helped me into the wheelchair using some kind of red smoke and wheeled me out of the plane. When I looked around we were surrounded by grass and trees, I could also hear a river somewhere in the distance I looked around longingly wanting nothing more than to roll in the grass or relax in the limbs of a tree.

Unfortunately I'm stuck with useless legs that I can't even practise using since I'm too injured. I sighed sadly before turning to the building we were heading towards, more concrete. Yay. At least there's plenty of windows to look at the forest I'd rather be in.

I'm not by any means ungrateful, in fact I probably owe my life to these people and I'm extremely thankful of all they have done for me, its just instinct, telling me to get away from the humans and escape to the safety of the forest, I never would though I don't know if I'd be able to survive alone after all these years.

We made our way through the large glass doors and into a giant open room with sofas and a kitchen as well as a TV and other regular living room stuff, a few people were already sat on the sofa or at the kitchen counter.

Wanda wheeled me over to the sofa where Steve sat next to a man with a metal arm who was looking at me with curiosity
"Dentra this is Bucky, he's a very good friend of mine. Buck I've already told you about Dentra" Bucky nodded at me and I smiled and waved shyly

I looked at his arm in slight curiosity, wondering how he got it and how it works, he seemed to notice this and sighed before telling me one word that explained everything
"Hydra."

A shiver ran down my spine and I nodded in understanding before pointing at myself
"I know,  Steve already told me."

I nodded again before holding my hand to him and he shook it and gave me a small smile
"Welcome to the family."

I tilted my head slightly in confusion but we were interrupted by Tony sprinting into the room and grabbing my wheelchair, I quickly waved to Steve and Bucky before I was whisked away to who knows where by Tony.

We went down a long corridor that had doors with names above them lining either side, some seemed like actual names while others didn't, there were doors with stickers and writing on them and some were different colours.

Eventually we reached a room that, instead of a door, had a dark green curtain that obscured the inside from view. Above the door was a black plaque with gold lettering that read 'snake kid' I looked up at Tony in confusion and he just smiled down at me

"I had a room put together for you while we were on our way back, I asked Thor for help since I wanted you to feel comfortable and he knows way more about lamias than he probably should, he suggested no door but the curtain was my idea." I looked up at him with tears in my eyes and the biggest smile on my face

"T-th-tha-"
"Dont try to speak, you'll hurt yourself, plus don't thank me before you've even seen the room" I glared at him for cutting me off but was secretly happy that he stopped me from destroying my throat.

He pulled the curtain to the side and my smile somehow got wider as tears fell from my eyes, it was the most beautiful room I've ever seen. The wallpaper made it look like the rainforest and the entire room was green with plant and flower patterns covering the walls

"This is kind of a recovery room until your legs heal, your actual room is much larger and still under construction, so you'll be staying here until it's done." He explained

I turned around and grabbed one of Tony's arms pulling him towards me so I could wrap him in a hug.
"Jeez kid you're stronger than you look" he chuckled and I let out a silent laugh that sounded more like a hissing wheeze but I think he got the idea.

"Come on kid let's get you something to eat"
