EPILOGUE ²

For the first time in years, i woke up earlier than the alpha male snoring right next to my face. His hand was secured around my waist and his leg was also wrapped around my knees. I had no way to escape his hold without waking him up and i had no interest in doing so right now.

Now that Im fully awake, the news of being pregnant hit me with full force and an immense amount of sorrow came along with it. This was important and i couldn't just ignore it, so i decided to spend the rest of my alone time thinking about what i should do.

"Is my mate going to spend the whole day in bed?" Nate whispered next to me and I smiled with my eyes still closed.

"Depends on whether her alpha would want to take a walk with her or not!?" I played along, trying to keep the mood light for as long as possible.

"If that's what you want. " Nate basically purred in the crook of my neck, making me smile.

I could feel Nate was itching to talk about the situation but didn't comment on it. It was refreshing to walk in the middle of the woods and i didn't want to ruin it with the 'talk', so i kept ignoring it.

I was lost in my own thoughts that I suddenly heard a "Luna! Catch!" from somewhere around us and before i knew what was happening, i saw a ball inching closer to my face.

My eyes widened and then i held my breath, along with closing my eyes and waiting for the pain of the impact, but it never came, instead, an ear piercing growl was sounded from next to me and looking at my side, all i could see was Nate's shaking body.

He was holding the ball right in front of my face and squeezed it with anger, which resulted in some weird sounds coming from the ball which i would've laughed at if i wasn't so distracted by Nate's growls and his, now furry body.

"Nate, calm down. " I whispered but it was too late. I was surrounded by the sound of clothes ripping apart and bones breaking, making me cringe profusely.

"Alpha, sorry, we thought Luna would catch it!" I heard from the same spot that Nate, or i better say Ryder, kept growling at.

"Ry, I'm fine." I said to him and looked up to see Damien looking at Ryder with utter confusion. "What's going on?!" I asked Damien and he just shook his head.

"I have no idea!" He said and Ryder roared at him, getting ready to sprint towards him.

My heart dropped at the sight and i rushed forward to pat him so he would stop his attack, "Fluffy, relax!" I whispered and moved closer so i could plant a kiss behind his ear.

"Did you guys have a fight or something?" Charles, Jackson's mate, said from the other side and i shook my head at him before jumping a little because of the sound of Ryder growling at him too.

"Ryder, whats going on? Talk to me.." I softly whispered but he kept on snarling at the guys and acted as if he was protecting me from the people he trusts the most in the pack.

"He's trying to protect his mate, " Jackson finally said and Damien rolled his eyes at him, "No shit, is that all you got, sherlock?!" He interrupted him and Jackson gave him a hard glare, then continued, "and his pup." He finished and Charles' green eyes widened along with Damien's. They looked at me, waiting for confirmation and my heart dropped at how happy they seemed to be.

He's protecting his pup..

I took a deep breath and moved to stand infront of Ryder, which he barely let me because he was still in his protecting mode.

"Ryder, we're both fine, they mean no harm to us." I said and he finally looked me in the eyes. He's eyes were filled with different kinds of emotions that i was surprised i couldn't feel through the mate bond. "Now, could you shift back please?" I asked and he huffed, looking down at my stomach and sniffing me there.
