My eyes begin to open, but I rapidly shut them again, feeling sun beat them up. I raised my shaking hand to block the light and slowly opened my eyes again. I moved my other arm towards my head and groaned, then sat up and leaned my head against the wall very softly. Wait a damn minute...this wasn't New York. Then my memories came rushing back. A new wave of pain washed over me as I remembered my Mom's death, moving to Trinity Falls, leaving my friends, losing my supposed "best friend". What else could've happened? The most recent thing I remembered was that I had been falling. Then I remembered that I had been riding Starly. It wasn't her fault...it was my own. I should've listened to my grandpa, but instead I listened to my stupid self.

I looked over at my nightstand and saw that my phone was being charge. Lucy was gonna get in trouble for that later. No one, and I mean NO ONE touches my phone without permission. And my suitcase was on the floor, open and lacking of clothes. I reached over to my phone and powered it on. Once the screen turned on, notifications slammed through and a entered my pass code and opened up the messenger app.

We miss you! That was from Emma, my sorry excuse for a friend.

Come back pleeeeeeeeease! That was Tyler...my Ex. I had broken up with him because I found him hooking up with Emma. What a childish way to text someone.

Hi Addi! It's Amelia. Ur Grandpa gave me ur number. I'm so sorry that I stopped texting you! My phone lost all it's contacts and I had to get a new phone and number because of my stupid mom. practically threw a tantrum at her. I'm so happy that u moved back to Hudson! Call me when you can!

And that was Amelia! I had wondered what the hell had happened. We had stopped texting two months ago, and this was probably why. The last time I had seen her was when I lived here. It was because she had barely any money and couldn't really afford the flight, but we made sure to keep contact. I really missed her. I missed the pranks we pulled, how many times we would sneak out to go to parties even though we were like fourteen and fifteen, how we would play truth or dare, how our fights would only last like two hours at tops. I really wanted to see her. It would be amazing! Then I began texting back:

OMFG! I miss you so much! We deffinetly have to make plans. Maybe we can hangout out today? It would be so awesome to see you. Text me back when you have a place in mind!

I then sent the text and shoved my phone in my pocket. I looked over at the mirror on the wall and shot a judgmental look at myself. My jeans were all dirty and I was pretty mad that I was in bed with them on. And my long sleeved shit was torn very dirty.

I decided that I probably wasn't going to be riding for a while after today--if the incident even happened today--until I would hop on that horse again, so I walked over to the dresser. It was the only place I could think of where my clothes might me. Considering that I might go out today, I throw on a long sleeved shirt and some shorts.

It wasn't my style whatsoever, but my sister disproved of everything I liked, so I just did what she wanted.

I then chose some dark black boots that I wouldn't mind getting dirty and exited my room. I was greeted by Asher who was holding a trey of food. "Oh, your awake." He set the trey down onto the hall's table and looked at me. "Are you okay?" I smiled and nodded. "Is that for me?" I asked, pointing to the food trey. He nodded and handed it to me. "Breakfast in bed?" He said plainly and awkwardly. I just rolled my eyes and picked pulled his arm with my free hand into my bedroom. I placed the food down on my bed and took a blanket from the corner of my room and lied it out like a pick net blanket. I grabbed the food again, and placed it down on the floor after sitting down, and patted the spot in front of me.

"So, tell me about yourself, Asher." I say before taking another bite of my waffle. He just lifted his eyebrow and began to talk. "Well, I'm Asher. I'm eighteen years old and I'm from California." He stole a grape from me and I glared at him. "That was boring... give me some details, I don't know. You fucking loser." I mumble the last part and he throws his head back, laughing. "It wasn't even that funny." I say quietly and meant for myself, but he hears it anyways and jabs me with his foot. I just laugh and stare down at my hands. A frown forms on my face when a memory of me and Lucas playing in here replays in my mind.

Asher must notice because he scoots closer and taps my knee. I look up at him and smile, stuffing my emotions down again. "You goo-" I cut him off before he can finish with a 'yes' and I'm back to eating my waffle. Then the door opens and my Grandpa walks in. Asher swings his head to look at him and hurries himself up. "Sir I was just-" My Grandpa raises his hand in Asher's face and then points to the door. Asher then leads himself out, closing the door behind him. I just make a humming noise and look up at my Grandpa.

"I see you finally woke up." He taunted, sitting down where Asher had sat. "How long was I out for?" I ask, a hand over my mouth since I was still slightly chewing on my food. "Quite a while, but don't worry. You still have a lot of work to do." He chuckles and grabs a grape off my plate. Again with the grape stealing! Goddammit. I scowl at him and continue, "That doesn't answer my question." Then my phone dings in my pocket and I slide it out, looking at my phone. It was Amelia.

Yay! So excited to see u! We absolutely need to meet at Gabby's Diner. Best. Place. Ever! I'll be there at 5.

I could practically hear her squeals as I type back.

I will be there! See you at 5

"Actually Grandpa, I have to leave here around 4:30. Which is in about-" I look back down at my phone. "-ten minutes." I say, standing up and dusting crumbs off my jeans. "I gotta go to Gabby's Diner. Do you know where that is?" I ask, running my fingers through my hair. "Yeah. I'll send you directions." I wonder why he doesn't question me any further but he leaves my room and I just shrug. "Thanks!" I yell out to him and I just hear a loud grunt.

I walked into where Lucy was staying and realized she wasn't there, so I just grabbed the keys and left, running to the car, mud splashing over my shoes.

Hi! So this was really just kind of a filler. And be prepared because I like to drag out my romance...I don't like it to just be: Meet, I love you, let's get married, let's die for each other. So yeah. But I hope you liked it!
