"Johnny don't you knock"

I sat down on the chair in my brother's lab staring off into the distance. He was working on a new project insisting that he didn't need my help but I was a hundred percent sure he did.

"You sure you don't need my help it looks like you need it" I said with a smirk.

"I'm fine" Reed replied rubbing his forehead.

I rolled my eyes knowing my brother was too persistent to even let me help him. I stood up out of the chair and headed towards my room. I walked along the hallways of the tower the lights along the floor illuminating my path so I could see. It was almost midnight but despite the late time I knew my brother would be up until early hours of the morning.

"Well hello hottie" I heard someone call out.

I groaned already knowing who it was. Johnny Storm the human torch. Or as he liked to say "Human torch but ladies call me torch". He was cocky and a bit of a jerk but he was fun to be around and not to lie pretty attractive.

I spun around to face Johnny wearing nothing but a towel wrapped low on his waist hanging just below his v-line exposing his abs which were glistening due to the dropleys of water.

"Jesus Johnny put some clothes on" I said looking away but that didn't stop the bright red blush climbing up from my neck and covering my face.

Johnny noticed this and chuckled to himself placing his hands on his hips subtly flexing his muscles in an attempt to try and impress me.

"Something tells me you don't want me to get changed" Johnny flirted.

He wasn't exactly wrong I mean he was an ass but boy was he hot. Not just temperature wise.

"God you're such an ass" I mumbled.

"Doesn't answer my question" Johnny snickered walking past me headed to his room.

"I hate you" I teased.

"No you don't honey" Johnny said spinning around to shoot me a wink.

I rolled my eyes not admitting that I actually quite liked when he flirted with me. He smirked before finally walking into his room. I shook my head at him and entered my own room.

I walked over to my bedside table reaching for my phone. Unlocking it to see multiple missed calls from Van Doom. I groaned and swipped away all the notifications.

Van Doom has tried to get with me ever since Sue left him for my brother. I despised the man but he just didn't seem to get the message. I've given him every possible hint to say that I didn't like him but he just never got the hint.

I placed my phone back onto my night stand plugging it into charge praying thag Von Doom would leave me alone.

Pulling off my shirt disregarding it on the floor next to my laundry basket. I went to take off my shorts but I heard a light cough from behind me. My eyes widened in shock and I quickly spun around.

Johnny was standing in the doorway leaning against the frame his head tilted to the side with a shit eating smirk on his face.

"Johnny don't you knock" I shouted at him.

"Looking good Richards" Johnny said with a husky voice winking at me.

"Johnny" I growled shooting mental daggers at him.

"God sorry, Reed wanted us all down in the lab it's something important" Johnny said the smirk not leaving his face as his blue eyes eyed my body up and down.

Suddenly feeling self concious my hands flung to cover my exposed top half. Johnny frowned at me to which I rolled my eyes. Grabbing the shirt which I had just tossed on the floor i pulled it over top of me.

I followed Johnny down towards the lab.

"Seriously Johnny you need to learn to knock" I said doing my vest to keep a serious tone.

"Aw don't be a buzzkill" Johnny playfully pouted.

"Your such an dick" I rolled my eyes.

"Oh I know I am it makes life more fun" Johnny said slinging his arm lver my shoulders.

"Whatever" I said letting a chuckle escale from my lips.

"Aw come on Y/n loosen up" Johnny said shaking my body lightly.

We entered the lab and just before I could make a remark my brother interrupted us.

"Guys we have a serious problem" Reed said.

"What is it?" Johnny asked removing his arm off my shoulder leaving me cold.

"We're not exactly sure" Sue sighed looking up the the world map displayed up on a hologram.

"There have been some very weird energy readings coming from different spots around the globe" Reed said pressing a button on his desk.

A few cities around the world were now highlighted in red. On another screen popped up a bunch of energy readings all much higher than usual.

"We don't know what it is but we just have to keep a look out" Reed said.

"Could this just be some weird natural phenomenon?" I asked my brother knowing it could just be him over reacting.

"That could be a possibility" Sue agreed looking at her husband.

"You're right it could be, but I don't think it is aswell as the energy readings the gravitational pull of the planet has shifted due to the high readings" Reed said.

"How bad is it?" I asked.

"Well let's just say by next year the gravitational pull will be so bad that we'll be bumping into Venus" Reed said.

"Shit" I muttered running my hands over my face.

"What are we supposed to do?" Ben asked in his deep gruff voice.

"We need to find out what is causing the shift and we need to put an end to it" Reed said.

"But what if this is just something natural?" Johnny asked.

This could still just be a freak of nature happening and my older brother could just be making a big deal out of nothing.

"Well then nature needs to stop" Reed said trying his best to make a joke.

"You can't just tell mother nature to piss of without facing consequences" I said to my brother.

"But it's not natural there's no way if it was there would have been a slow build up but this has happened suddenly it has to be man made" Reed said.

"What if it's not?" Ben asked.

"Than we stop it no matter what, we've been sworn to protect the earth so we do our job" Reed said.

"Well you better find the source of it and quick I don't plan on visiting Venus any time soon" Johnny joked crossing his arms over his chest.

"For once I agree with you" I said.

"Wow it really is the end times" Johnny teased I rolled my eyes giving him a slap on the chest.

"I'll set up the satellite but for now we just have to wait until it finds something" Reed said pressing a few buttons on his watch.

"It'll be ok right?" I asked my brother.

"Yeah I'm sure it'll be fine" Reed said not sounding so sure.

"Fucking great" Johnny mumbled under his breath.
