I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock blaring, I groaned shutting it off before getting out of bed. Unfortunately I had work to do so I couldn't have a nice sleep in.

I got dressed and headed down to the lab where my brother Reed already was. I sat down in my chair and looked over to my brother who had massive dark circles under his eyes.

"You're up early" I said.

"Never went to sleep" He sighed rubbing his eyes.

"You need to rest Reed" I sighed shaking my head.

"I know I know I'm just so stressed with all of this" He said waving his hand around the holograms around the room displaying the anomalys.

"I'm sure it'll be ok" I said.

Reed nodded and tilted his head back staring up at the ceiling, exhaustion taking over his body. He ran his hands down his face.

"You should rest and then after we can give you a distraction so you don'tend up with another anxiety attack" I said.

"I need to work" My brother complained.

"You can't do anything until those scans get back so I'll take your mind off it unti then" I said with a small smirk.

"Fine" Reed caved in knowing there was no point in arguing with me.

My brother stood up and sluggishly walked down the hall towards his own room. I shook my head and started picking up his mess which he had left behind. An array of papers scattered across his desk aswell as an assortment of coffee mugs. I picked up all the papers and stacked them neatly into one pile.

Picking up the coffee mugs I turned around to go put them in the dishwasher but I was stopped by Johnny who was standing right behind me.

"Finally got the guy to get some rest huh?" Johnny said raising an eyebrow at me.

"I did, he would've passed out from exhaustion otherwise" I chuckled continuing my walk to the kitchen.

Johnny grabbed the mugs out of my hand and took them to the dishwasher stacking them. Which suprised me he was actually being caring for once.

"Thanks" I said.

"No problem couldn't let a pretty girl like you get her hands dirty" Johnny winked at me.

My cheeks flushed pink but Johnny didn't seem to notice.

"I was quite capable of doing that myself" I said.

"Sure you were" Johnny smirked.

I rolled my eyes at him.

"I better get going sorting out your brother's distraction I was thinking some exotic dancers" Johnny teased dancing a little.

"Johnny calling them exotic dancers doesn't make it sound any better than just calling them strippers and besides Sue would kill you if you took him to a strip club" I laughed.

"Man you're no fun" Johnny shook his head.

"Go to a strip club yourself if your so desperate" I teased him.

"Oh come on going by yourself is just sad" Johnny laughed.

"Well that's the only option you're getting as my brother is not going with you" I said patting his back.

I walked off back to my room to go take a shower before taking my brother off to find a distraction. He always overworked and let his work get in the way. I honestly didn't know how Sue could put up with him, it's almost as if Reed was dating his work rather then his wife.

I stepped out of the shower water dripping down from my body onto the bath mat below me. I wiped away the condensation covering my mirror so I could see myself. I dried my hair and brushed it before exiting out back into my room.

"You ready?" I heard Johnny call out.

"Yeah just a second" I said pulling a  shirt over my head.

At least he knocked this time. I opened the door and Johnny was standing outside next to my older brother and Ben. Sue was probably staying behind to look after the tower and knowing Johnny he probably didn't want his older sister ruining his fun.

"Let's go little Richards" Ben said pullijg me along.

"Please never call me that" I said shutting my bedroom door.

"Aw come on it's a cute name" Johnny said with a smirk.

A smile escaped my lips aswell as my cheeks tinting pink. I didn't know what to say back to that.

"Shut up Flame boy" I snickered.

I followed the boys out into the truck. We had to buy a truck so Ben could travel with us without breaking a carz the one downside of being made of pure rock. I climbed into the back of the truck with Ben and Johnny whilst my brother stayed up front to drive.

I sat down on one of the seats in the back of the truck, Ben sitting opposite me taking up nearly three seats. Johnny came and sat right next to me. I wasn't going to complain though.

"So where are we going?" I asked.

"Just to the pub since you said no exotic dancers" Johnny joked.

"Just be glad I stopped you before Sue found out you took her husband to a strip club you would be a dead man" I chuckled.

"You're probably right" Ben said Johnny just rolled his eyes.

I leant back in my chair resting my head against the back of my chair or so I thought. After about a minute I felt the back of my chair move I looked back and I was leaning against Johnny's arm.

"Sorry" I mumbled leaning forward the smirk leaving his face.

"I didn't mind" Johnny mumbled just loud enough for me to slightly hear.

"What was that?" I asked him.

"Hm oh nothing" Johnny said retracting his arm from the back of my seat rubbing the back of his neck.

I looked at Ben who was darting his eyes between Johnny and I giving a suggestive look at the two of us. I shook my head at Ben he just chuckled.

"How long till we get there?" I called out to Reed who had his eyes focused on the road.

"Just pulling up now" Reed called out.

The truck pulled up into the carpark of the pub and I climbed out the back heading into the pub. This was about to get real interesting.
