idris high (the mortal instruments)

part 2

Iv now been at idris high for a month and i am really close with everyone. Izzy and i are going to become parabati.

Its also been peaceful for too long. I cant imagine it wil last and surley jace, izzy, alec, simon and magnus will soon find out who i really am...

Right now i am sitting in the field beside the school. Its overgrown with green grass and exotic flowers of bright pinks, reds and blues that only grow in idris.

Im sitting with my sketchpad and pencils drawing the view aroumd me of the school and the field when i feel a presence beside me.

''You know. In the whole four weeks you've been here iv never once seen any of your drawings'' jace says leaning back on his hands.

''Thats probably because no one has'' i look up at him ''i dont show them to anyone. Its like my version of a diary''

Jace looks at me curiously. ''Can i see''

I think about it for a minute. I know jace is a trouble maker but i still trust him. I flip my sketchpad around to show him and his mouth drops open ''wow... thats amazing.''

I smile and before i can reply the school bell goes off. Jace leaps up and extends his hand down for me to take. He pulls me up with a little too much force and i go flying into him.

Instead of instantly pulling away we just look into each others eyes. His hands wrap around my back and he pulls me closer to him and lets out a shaky breath.

''God. Your so pretty'' he whispers. My eyes widen. I was not expecting him to say that. He can have any girl. Any. So why chose me.

I quickly pull away ''why'' i ask but i hear a crack in my voice ''its not fair to tease me when i know you can have any girl in this school''

He opens his mouth to reply but i run off to my first class

Im now in my way to demonology. Its my last class of the day and i am dreading it because non other than jace herondale sits next to me.

Lunch was like any other day except i barley spoke a word. Izzy kept asking if i was ok but i just blew her off and i kept my eyes away from jace.

I just cant believe he tried to trick me like that

I walk into class and jace is already there so i just plop down on my seat and ignore him as i take out my books.

I feel his eyes on me for most of the class but i just ignore him and when the bell goes i rush out before he can get to me.

I run home and as soon as i get in i get out a sigh.

''You okay honey'' mum asks as she walks into the hall and sees my relief ''oh. Yeah. Just a rough day'' there is no way im telling her about jace. She's strict enough as it is and i dont need her getting on my case.

''Well i thought we could watch 'ted' tonight. Lukes going on a night out and i can make nachos''

''Yeah that sounds fun'' i havent spent time with mum in a longggg time so i cant wait.

''I made waffles for breakfast '' mum shouts from downstairs, waking me up. I grumble spmething intelligible and roll out of bed.

...........

When i get to school everyone is just waiting outside the doors and i prance up.

''Wacha doinnn'' i ask and they all turn to face me ''just waiting for you'' magnus pokes me and we all head in together...
