CHAPTER 7: THE TALK

HEY Y'ALL

LYDIA' POV:

When I woke up at 6:30 on Monday morning I went to get ready like every morning  I have school.  There was nothing different from the last time I got ready for school.  When I got downstairs I went to prepare myself a bowl of Lucky Charms for breakfast.  When I was finally all ready to go to school it was 7:15.  45 minutes till school starts.  Great if I get to school early I can go to the library and pick out a book to read before first block starts.  So I walked to school.

It took me 10 minutes to get to school so it is now 7:20.  35 minutes till school starts.  When I got into school, the halls were practically deserted.  I got to my locker to get my English and history books since I don't feel like coming back here when it is crowded.  Next stop the LIBRARY!!

Once I got to the library, I went to the Teen Fiction section and looked through the shelves.  Let's see what book I should read I thought.  A couple of books caught my eye like "The Fault in Our Stars" since I loved the movie so much.  Also the series "The Secret Circle" since witches seem to interest me.  Even "The Maze Runner" since I have been dying to read it.  So  took all three books with me to the librarian since all three books will take me 3 days tops to read.

When I got out of the library it was 7:40.  20 minutes till class starts.  I decided to go to English class so I can start reading one of the books I just got.  Once I entered Ms. Marshall, my English teacher greeted me and I took my seat in the back corner, I like to be invisible to my classmates so they do not start making fun of me in the middle of class.  I then started to read The Fault in Our Starts. 

By the time it was lunchtime I was already halfway through the book.  I got my lunch and went to sit at my usual table and continued to read.  I was at the part where Augustus and Hazel kiss at the Anne Frank house, which is my favourite scene in the movie.  And now in the book too.  I was too into the book that I haven't realized Allison was at the table and trying to get my attention

- Hello earth to Lydia.  Is anyone there? She asked waving a hand in front of my face.

- Oh sorry Allison.  Didn't see you sit down.  I said

- Of course you didn't since your face is stuck in that book.  Allison replied.

- Well, sorry this is an amazing book that you should read. I said.

- Will see.  Though I prefer ten times more watching the movie then reading the book.  Allison replied.

- That shows your lazy. I said.

- No.  I just find reading boring. I prefer socializing.  She said.

- Of course you do.  You are like the most popular girl in school.  And I'm the nerd of the school. I told Allison.

- Well it there is 10 minutes left of lunch lets go get ready for next class.  Allison sad.

- Ok. was my response.

We were walking to our lockers since it was right next to each other. Once we got there I went to get my books for math class.  And waited for Allison since we have next class together.

When Allison opened her locker beautiful red roses fell out of her locker with an envelope attached to one.  Allison pick the envelope up and read it.  It said "WILL YOU GO TO PROM WITH ME?" When I turned around Scott was standing there.  Allison knew it was from Scott and also knew Scott was right behind her.  So when she turned around all she said was "YES" and then kissed Scott on the lips.

I was so happy for her.  But I was also jealous a bit of her, since she always get what she wants.  She was the most popular girl in school, everyone loved her, she never ignored everyone and was always nice to everyone.  Though all the jocks were always mean to me.  Everyone hated me for some reason except for Allison, Scott and Stiles.  Everyone thought I was Allison's puppet since I am always with her.  I do stay with her all time because she is my all time best and only friend, which is kind of sad.  I have been here all my life but I only have one friend.  I don't really considerer Scott my friend since I don't really know him.   I only consider Stiles my crush, since he only started talking to me like two or three weeks ago. 

I will never get a prom date.  Prom is in like 4 days.  Today is Monday and Prom is on Friday.  Nobody would ever ask me to prom.  Though my dream is that Stiles would ask me but that is most unlikely since he barely knows me. 

(AFTER SCHOOL - STILL LYDIA'S POV)

After school I wanted time to think about what has happened these past three weeks.  It took me about ten minutes to walk to Starbucks.   When I got to Starbucks I bought a caramel frap.  They are so delicious.  I spent about 20 minutes in Starbucks continuing to read The Fault in Our Stars. 

Around four in the afternoon I started to walk home.  I was thinking about Stiles when I bumped into someone.  And we both fell on the ground.

- Oh my god, I'm so sorry.  I was not looking where I was going.  I said to the person.

- It's ok.  She said and helped me up.

When I looked up t the girl she looked so familiar.

- Faye? Are you Faye Maxwell? I asked the girl.

- Yup the one and only.  I can't believe you actually remember me Lydia! Faye said.

- How can I forget my first friend? I asked.

- Well it has been about 10 years since we last saw each other.    Faye said

After having catching up about the last ten years of their life Faye asked:

- So what are your plans for the next few months?

- I don't really know.  Go to school and keep my grades up I guess. I said.

- So you're not going to do anything unusual? Faye asked.

- No. I said uncertain.

- So you really don't know how powerful you are. Faye mumbled.

- What did you say.  I didn't understand you? I said.

- Oh nothing.  I got to go.  Will talk to you soon.

I then walk home, which took me about twenty minutes.  When I got home the house was dark.  Well that is unusual.  When I got to the living room I dropped my bag down in the hall and walked in.  I saw  a shadow so I decided to turn on the lights.  When the lights where on I saw Allison, Stiles and Scott in my living room.  When I looked up I saw a banner.  It read " WILL YOU GO TO PROM WITH ME LYDIA?".  I obviously knew it was Stiles asking me since Scott was with Allison and Stiles was the only other guy in the room.  OH MY GOD my dream is actually coming true!!!

So I looked Stiles right in the eyes and said "YES" with a big smile on my face.  And then Stiles smiled and walked up to me and kissed me on the lips.
