Chapter 5 - Tight Troubles

7:30 p.m. Kempton. Kempton Docks. Adena was at the starting line. Angie drives on her way to the race location and brakes as she reverses when lining up between the SL 65 AMG. "You should have stayed away. Whatever anyone thought of you then, there's not gonna' be any doubt now." Angie said as she looks ahead and performs a burnout. They started off but Adena takes a shortcut on the right as she follows the path until a hairpin comes up. Angie is now in the lead as the SL 65 is doing its best to keep up with her as they passed by the hairpin. "Not good, she's got fire!" Adena exclaimed in her mind as she takes the next corner as they were about to head into a straightaway with a curve but Angie is starting to pull away from her. She hits the next hairpin as she notices the Charger made a mistake on the hairpin as she was oversteering. "Shit!" Angie exclaimed as she was losing control on the hairpin as she accidentally skidded when taking it fast. "There's an opening! Go for it!" Adena exclaimed as she saw the inside of the hairpin turn and went for it as she was now in the lead. They were heading into a straightaway as Angie overtakes the SL 65. "Take em on the next corner." Adena said in her mind as she accelerates hard and was showing a blue aura before taking the next corner that leads to the long straightaway. Angie skids on the outside as the SL 65 takes the inside and gains the lead back. They were on the long straightaway as the Charger attempts to pass Adena but she blocks it and holds the lead while they were heading into a series of curves. She slams on the brakes and grips the hairpin turn. They were now heading into the industrial area as Adena takes the shortcut as Angie starts following her. "The goal is near. I can win this! I need to not let off!" Adena exclaimed in her mind as she starts to sense that the goal is near as she accelerates hard and passes through the bend that leads to the goal as she crosses it first. She is now the winner of the city race as it now leads onto the canyon. 2 hours later. Copper Ridge. The SL 65 was driving up the hill as it slowly turns around as they were about to go down the hill. The Charger was drifting to the starting line as it stopped next to the SL 65. "You're done, punk." Angie said as she moves in front of Adena's SL 65 and performing burnouts in front of her as she starts laughing. They have now started the downhill race as they passed a few hairpins until they were coming into a tunnel section as they were passing by it. Angie takes the next corner but she skids to the outside as she blocks Adena from taking it. "These corners are a bitch. No wonder why this car seems to be heavy on the touge. I can probably get her at a straightaway before we hit the bridge after we pass the bend!" Adena exclaimed in her mind as she was trying to take the corners but she was understeering as the car was heavy. She manages to keep up with Angie on a few corners before a curvy straightaway until the next bend as she stays on her tail and grips the inside. Once they passed the bend, the SL 65 makes a move and passes Angie on the straightaway before the bridge. "No!" Angie exclaimed as she got passed. "The goal is near! Go for it!" Adena exclaimed as she was now in 1st place and manages to hold the lead as she crosses the goal first and is now the winner of the race. She was at the line waiting as Angie pulls up to her and she sighs at Adena as she's chuckling. An hour later. Kempton. Morgan Beach. I was in the car as my phone ringed as I received a voice message from Samson. I played it to see what it means. "Hey, I saw your mom's run with Angie. When it's clutch time, yeah you can really hold it together. Nikki gave me your number and she said you might be looking for more crew. If that's true, meet me at Footy's Diner." Samson said as the message was playing and I turned it off. I left the beach area as I was driving to Footy's Diner. While I was on my way, I saw Samson's Charger R/T at the parking area by the diner. I got out of my car as I walked up to him to greet. "Good to see you Samson." I greeted. "Well, well, well... nice of you to show. Listen, I know you're looking to clear your rep and you're gonna need some help in order to do that. It's just the race that night you took off... there was something seriously out of whack. I was there too. *transitions to flashback* I showed up at the line just to check things out. Everyone was talking about you." Samson explained. "So what happens next?" I asked. "Then the 5-0 were everywhere." Samson answered. In the flashback he sees an alleyway clear as I was making a move towards that way and escaped. "Then I see the alley's clear. He lets you go and shuts it up." Samson said. "Who was that guy driving that white 300C?" I asked. "The guy driving? He's got a badge on his belt. Bottom line is... the heat had an agenda and you took the fall. That's all there is to it. Thing is I can see em coming a mile away. Not only will I block em in, but I can mix it up with em too." Samson answered. "Well welcome to the crew!" I replied. "Thanks man, you mind if I get a chance to meet the drivers of your crew?" Samson asked. "Of course dawg. Let's go home!" I answered as we got in our cars and drove our way back to the Safehouse. Meanwhile. Safehouse. Ellie was sitting in the couch as she seems a bit off but worried. Nikki opens the door and walks in the living room as she checks in with her. "Are you okay, Ellie?" Nikki asked. "I'm... fine..." Ellie answered. "Are you sure? You seem a bit worried to me." Nikki asked before she answered. "Actually... there's something you ought to know.." Ellie answered. "I know what's wrong." April replied as she walked from the kitchen to the living room. "Really? What is it?" Nikki asked. "Someone is trying to steal Branden from Ellie." April answered. "Do you know who it is?" Nikki asked. "That's Courtney Tang..." April answered. "Why would she want to take him from me? He's mine!" Ellie asked as she exclaimed. "Ellie, relax. I understand the love between you, you see. I've had a crush on Branden before but since you were the first girl to meet him and be a part of his life. I totally get that you two have a connection with each other, that's why I decided not to go for him. But I will do everything I can to prevent Courtney from taking Branden away." Nikki answered as she calmed Ellie down. "Tristen, there's a race wars going on in the Kempton area. You interested in taking on those rivals there?" Letty asked. "Yes I'm in." Tristen answered. "Good luck." Letty replied as Tristen got in her Green Dodge Challenger Concept as she left the Safehouse and was on her way to Kempton. Samson and I drove into the Safehouse as we parked our cars inside. "Hey! What's with the muscle car noise? Who's that's you brought in?" Jill asked. "That's Samson. He's one of the crew members that Nikki hooked us up with. Samson, that's Jill." I answered. "Good to meet you Jill." Samson greeted. "Good to meet you too Samson." Jill greeted. "Branden, we need to talk. It's between you, me and Ellie. Meet me in the living room." Nikki said as she walked out of the living room and saw me with Samson. "Alright. Hey, why don't you go ahead and have a drink. We'll talk later." I suggested as I walked to the living room with Nikki. "Okay." Samson replied as he walked to the bar where Adena, Letty and Jill were having their drinks. "Come here man, have a drink with us." Jill said. "Alright, sure." Samson replied as he sat with Jill. "So that's Letty. The leader of this crew." Jill said as she introduced Samson to Letty. "Good to meet you man." Letty greeted. "And that's Adena. I'm sure you've heard of her because she was the one who kicked Angie's ass on the downhill." Jill replied. "Good to meet you Adena. I saw that run you had with Angie. Nice one." Samson greeted. "Why thank you. Apparently she seems easy to beat but I seem to show disadvantage in the corners while I have an advantage on the straightaways." Adena replied. Living room. "So what's all the fuss about?" I asked. "Someone is after you." Nikki answered. "What for?" I asked. "Courtney is trying to steal you from Ellie because she is obsessed with you." April answered. "Oh." I replied. "What can we do about it?" Ellie asked. "Well, if she attempts to try to talk to you into breaking up as she forces you. I'll jump in to save him." Nikki answered. "Is this true?" I asked. "Yes..." Ellie answered. "Don't worry. I won't let her hurt us. I promise." I replied as I gave Ellie a kiss on the forehead. "Guys, there something I found from another Safehouse. It's in Morgan beach." April said. "What is it?" I asked. "I think it's a car that we can find there." April answered. "Let's check it out." Nikki replied. 20 minutes later. 7:50 p.m. Kempton. Morgan Beach. I opened the garage door as April, Nikki and Ellie got in while I was the last one. "Hello! Anyone in here?" I called. "April, are you sure this is true?" Ellie asked as she took out her flashlight and turned it on. "I'm certain it's here, we can use it for the battle against Courtney." April answered as she turns on her flashlight. We were searching for a car that was abandoned here as we kept searching and searching. "I do not know if that car is there. Well I guess it's pointless if we waste our time here." I said. "Wait, I found something!" Nikki replied. "Huh? What is it?" Ellie and April asked as they walked to Nikki while I was walking to her as well. "What's in the cover?" I asked as Nikki removes the car cover as it turns out to be the Blue Supra I drove years ago. "What's this?" Ellie asked. "It's... the car. I drove it years ago." I answered. "Yeah, it's the Blue Supra." April replied. "So we came here to find this?" I asked. "I guess so. I'll call Jordan to pick up the car so we can restore it." Nikki answered. "Where's the keys?" April asked. "They're at that desk over there, I'll get it." I answered as I walked to the desk to grab the keys from the desk. I grabbed it and I walked back to Ellie as I gave her the keys to the car. "The keys are your's Ellie." I said. "Why? Are you sure you still want the car?" Ellie asked. "No. It's okay, you can keep it. It's your's. I already bought myself a car but you can keep that Supra, it does better if you were driving it. You should be able to do better when you're going up against Courtney in that thing." I answered. "Well... I guess so... it just doesn't seem right..." Ellie replied as she takes the keys. "Hey Jordan can you come to Morgan Beach? We need your help to bring in a car from that safehouse we just discovered." Nikki called. "Got it Boss." Jordan replied. "Hey Jenna, wanna come along to help me get the car hooked up to the truck?" Jordan asked. "Sure. Sounds good." Jenna answered as she and Jordan went to the car carrier tow truck as they got in and drove to the destination. "Alright they're on their way." Nikki said. "Cool, we'll bring her outside. Branden help me push the car outside of the Safehouse." April replied. "Okay." I said as she and I were about to push the Supra outside of the garage. "So Ellie, are you sure you want to use the Supra?" Nikki asked. "I'm certain of it Nikki. If that's Branden wants, then I'll do it. We'll need to restore it first." Ellie answered. "Right, that's why we're having Jordan, April, Gillian and Jenna restore it to how it was before." Nikki replied. "Hey, truck's here." I said as I saw the car carrier tow truck arriving at the abandoned safehouse. Meanwhile. Lofty Heights Downhill. The 3 girls were about to race each other on the downhill of Lofty Heights against a TFK member. "Okay, so we know what to do? One of us has to win the race and then we get noticed by TFK. Once we start that, we do the usual! Got it?" Letty asked. "Got it!" Jill answered. "We're going have to race each other to the finish line and we'll see who is the fast on this mountain pass." Adena replied. They were about to start as they launched off the start fast. "She's got the lead!" Adena exclaimed as she witnesses Jill passing the TFK car beside her and she is now in the lead on the straightaway. "The Murciélago has a fast start in the beginning, it seems like it's gonna wear out it's tire quickly because it's a 4WD and we're going down." Letty said in her mind as they were about to head down into a few chicanes as it is going downhill and she was in 2nd while Adena was in 3rd. She grips the inside of the hairpin turn as the 350Z performs the same thing before heading into a curve onto the next corner. "I can catch up on the straights but corners seem to problem... is it because we added too much power?" Adena wondered as she catches up on the straightaway but loses the gap on the corners as she is trying to catch up. They passed by the diner section as they were heading into some hairpins coming up. Letty is staying on Jill but the Murcielago is having an advantage on the corners and the straightaways. "I can try to overtake on the inside after we pass the tunnel section." Letty said in her mind as she was gripping on the hairpin turn. Once they passed by the last hairpin, they were coming in to a tunnel section. After they passed the section, Jill brakes in as she was about to hit the corner but Letty comes in from the inside as they were side by side with each other when braking. The 350Z takes the inside and passes the Murciélago as they were heading into the next hairpin. Adena grips the inside of the turn as she is catching up to the 2 cars ahead. Once they passed the hairpin, a bend was coming up leading to another hairpin. "She's improved! She's faster than before!" Jill exclaimed in her mind as she notices Letty's driving has improved as she takes the last hairpin faster than the usual. She also notices that Adena is behind her as well. "I'll take her on the straightaway once we take that jump off the hill!" Adena exclaimed in her mind as she takes the inside lane and was about to make her move on the long straight before the bridge section which is the final section. The Carrera GT passes Jill as they were between a car length with each other but the Carrera GT had the advantage over the Murciélago. They were on the final corner as they were on the last straightaway. Letty crosses the line first as Adena crosses it 2nd and Jill crosses it 3rd. They pulled over to the side of the road as they stopped their cars and got out. "That was some kick ass racing!" Jill exclaimed. "That was the best race we've ever had since that last one in Bayview but except Letty won the race, she seems to better than Elisa and among all of us." Adena replied. "Well it's not like I cheated, I knew from how it was gonna turn out because I've watched how you guys can drive since I know how to analyze your techniques & skills." Letty explained. "Well played." Adena replied. "Let's head back to the city, you two head to Fortuna, I'm going back to the Safehouse." Jill said as she got in her Murciélago. "Got it." Letty replied as she and Adena got in their cars as they were driving on the way back to the city. 2 hours later. 9:50 p.m. Fortuna. Adena and Letty were driving around the Fortuna area to check out the course but a squad of exotic cars were coming down towards their way as one of them blocked them. A gray Aston Martin pulls up to Letty as the driver that was revealed was Wolf. "So, how long did it take you to spend all that money you took from me?" Wolf asked as he and his crew drove away from the 2 cars as they left the area. "That guy doesn't seem to scare me." Letty said. "You okay?" Adena asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. He's not that intimidating at all. Unlike that time when you and Ellie got intimidated by the other two leaders but you two kicked their ass." Letty answered. "Ah shut up. It's not like that at all!" Adena replied. "Whatever. Let's just go home." Letty said as she and Adena drove off as they left the area. They were heading back to the Safehouse. 10 minutes later. 10:00 p.m. Safehouse. The two girls drove back to the safehouse and they got out of the Safehouse as they heard clanging sounds inside. "What's that sound?" Adena asked. "That's what I'm thinking. I wonder what they're doing. Let's find out." Letty answered.
