1. Emergency Call, and Memory Reset

"Hyung, hyung, calm down!"

Jungkook exclaimed as Seokjin rushed inside the hospital where his fiancé is. The moment he heard the call that Taehyung got into an accident and he is in the hospital, Seokjin quickly rushed to his car, luckily his younger brother caught him just in time or else he will be in another hospital bed and got caught in an accident too at how his heart and mind is in a mess.

Before this all happened, him and Taehyung is not on good terms, they just got into a fight, yelled at each other and it ended up with Taehyung leaving their shared unit and went out to chill and will spend the night at his parent's house. Seokjin, being mad and angry at that moment didn't sent Taehyung off, he didn't said goodbye and said 'I love you' to him, and now it is one of his greatest regrets.

Hearing the call from Taehyung's mom made his body froze. All the shouting and the yelling came back to his mind. How he wished he didn't said those things and just let the disagreement be, he should've just shut his mouth and maybe all of these won't happen. It's his fault that is why Taehyung is here.

Jungkook caught his arm and gave him a pleading look.

"I can't calm down, Jungkook! How can I calm down? Taehyung is hurt, there's no way I can chill!"

He shrugged his arm away and went inside the room and he was greeted by Taehyung's parents who immediately walked towards him and hugged him. Seokjin let his tears fall and looked at Taehyung's state. He has tubes in his body and his head is wrapped with bandage, his beautiful face is also full of bruises. Seokjin let go of the hug and went beside Taehyung's bed. Taehyung's Dad put his hand on Seokjin's shoulder and squeezed it as an attempt to reassure him that everything will be alright.

"I'm sorry, this is all my fault." He sobbed. "If only I didn't argue with him, maybe this won't happen. He won't go out and drive this late, I'm so sorry."

"Shh, no Jin. This is not your fault, it's that motorcycle driver's fault. He is driving against the flow and appeared out of nowhere, so Tae's first instinct is to avoid him, and his car hit another car and flipped because of it, good thing the ambulance came fast, and he got treated immediately."

Seokjin looked at Tae and sat on the chair beside his bed. "I will stay with him here, Auntie, Uncle. You can go home and rest, you too Kookie. I will just message you whatever the doctors say something important to me."

Taehyung's parents nodded their heads and kissed the top of his head as they bid him goodbye. Jungkook is a bit reluctant at first, but Seokjin persuaded him and eventually, the younger gave in and told his hyung to call him whenever he needed something to which Seokjin agreed.

He looked at Taehyung and prayed to god to keep him safe and nothing bad happens to him.

He stayed there three more days. The doctor warned him about the possible scenarios they can encounter and Seokjin is firm to believe that nothing like that can happen and he believes that Taehyung will recover just fine, and their wedding will still be happening eight months from now.

But fate is not with Seokjin that moment when the day Taehyung woke up and all his hope vanished.

Seokjin got excited when Taehyung opened his eyes and looked around the room, everyone is there his parents, Jungkook, and his boyfriend Hoseok, along with Taehyung's best friend Jimin. Taehyung looked around the room and smiled seeing familiar faces, but his face blank when his gaze looked at Seokjin.

Maybe he is still a bit mad at what happened before his accident. Seokjin thought and sighed. Jungkook noticed it and put his hand on Seokjin's nape to help him relax to which the older smiled in appreciation before walking towards Taehyung. Taehyung's parents already called the doctor and now he is asking Taehyung questions and asked if he knew everyone in the room, when is his birthday, what is his name, and such.

When Seokjin is about to touch Taehyung's hand, he pulled it away and looked at Seokjin like he was being touched by someone with a contagious disease.

"So, Taehyung, say, how old are you?" the doctor asked.

"18." He said without hesitation which made Taehyung's mother gasp, and Seokjin froze in place.

"No, Taehyung you are 28 going 29 in three months." His father said and Taehyung just chuckled.

"Dad, what are you saying? I'm 18." He said, "Now, tell me, where am I? Why do I have a lot of bandages and why am I here?" he tried to get up but regretted his action when pain pierced through his whole body, he winced and Seokjin helped him to get up, but he just shrugged it away and just went back to laying down.

The doctor excused Taehyung's parents and they talked outside. Seokjin is itching to go with them, but he also doesn't want to leave Taehyung be.

Sensing that Jin and Taehyung needed to talk, Jungkook and the others left to give them privacy.

Taehyung eyed him, "Where is Yoongi hyung?"

Seokjin cleared his throat to stop himself from crying again. He is not stupid he knew what is happening with Taehyung. He can't remember who he is and what his place in Taehyung's life is. If he said that he is 18, Seokjin can assume that all he can remember is those year and the years before that, in which he is in there, but Taehyung is not seeing him as a man, but only as Yoongi's annoying roommate.

"H-he uhm," Seokjin mumbled. He can't talk properly he feels like throwing up.

"Jin-hyung, I asked you, where is Yoongi-hyung? You are his best friend you will know where he is."

Jin bit his lower lip to stop himself from letting a tear fall in his eyes in front of Taehyung, he will cry, but now in front of the lad. He has never heard Taehyung call him Jin-hyung in ages. The last time he heard Taehyung called him that was six years ago when Taehyung officially started courting him and settled on calling him with different endearments and pet names that never failed to make Seokjin's heart leap.

But now it's gone, and he don't know whether it will be coming back soon or never at all.

"Hyung, tell me, did I made it to our wedding? Tell me I did please. I can't bear the thought of making Yoongi-hyung worried and leaving him be on the altar." He groaned in frustration.

Seokjin doesn't know what to say, he wanted to scream that he is Taehyung's fiancé and that Yoongi left him ages ago because his real true love came back and took him away, and they are now currently living happier in the States.

"Tae, baby, it may be a shock to you, but it's already 10 years past and – " Taehyung's mom is back inside unbeknownst to Seokjin and she sat beside Jin and held Tae's hand.

"Oh, so I am already married to my lovely hyung, tell me where is he? I want to see him. Did we adopt a baby? Or a dog? A cat? Please let me remember!" He chuckled and he is obviously feeling giddy making Seokjin insecure and feel small. 18 years-old Taehyung is really head over heels with Yoongi. He sighed and looked up blinking a few times to stop the tears.

"Well, you do have a dog," She, as gentle as she could, explained to her son, "But not with your Yoongi-hyung. You have a fiancé, a wonderful one."

"You've got to be joking, Mom. I can't see myself loving someone else other than Yoongi-hyung! Then tell me, who is it?" he asked, but with a playful tone seeming to thing that his Mom is just playing a prank on him.

"Me." Seokjin whispered. Taehyung stopped chuckling, looked at Seokjin and widened his eyes at disbelief.

"You've got to be really kidding me. I don't see myself liking you, cut the crap, Seokjin, tell me where my Yoongi-hyung is. I want to see him!"

Seokjin can't take it anymore. He stood up and left the room.

Hearing Taehyung say that brings back unwanted memories in his mind and he is not ready to open the past just like that.
