"You look good, very parent-like," Shoyo giggled as he wrapped his arms around the waist of his husband, Kenma. Kenma smiled and turned away from the pancakes he was making. He hugged Shoyo back. "Can you hurry, though? I want to go pick him up!"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm hurrying," Kenma grabbed a plate from the dish rack and put some pancakes on it, handing it to Shoyo. He turned off the stove and took the last pancake from off of it. He poured some syrup on top and grabbed a fork before joining his husband at the table.

He ate his pancakes as he watched the redhead stuff his face, gulping down his juice after. Kenma smirked as he chewed, and Shoyo stood up. "We are going to be late!" He shouted with a mouthful of food.

Kenma stood and put their dishes in the sink. Shoyo ran out of the door and started the car. Kenma locked the door and walked over to the car. The car beeped as he opened the door and got in.

We pulled out of the driveway and drove in silence. Kenma opened his phone and started to play a game.

A while passed before Shoyo pulled into a parking spot and parked.

Shoyo took a deep breath and looked at Kenma. "Don't freak out!"

"I'm not freaking out, Shoyo, you are," Kenma replied. That was half the truth. He wasn't visibly freaking out like his lover was, just on the inside. What if the kid didn't like him? His name was Ko, he is 6 years old. Ko is a lot like Kenma, awkward, quiet, and not too fond of people.

Kenma thought they bonded more because of that. He seemed more scared of Shoyo than Kenma.

"Let's go," Kenma kissed Shoyo on the cheek and stepped out of the car. He looked at the adoption agency and sighed. There was a blanket of snow around the building. The sidewalk was carefully shoveled so you could walk on the concrete. Hinata latched onto Kenma's hand and quickly walked over.

They opened the glass door and was met with a very warm-toned room. There were bells and stringed lights everywhere. In the corner stood a small Christmas tree, and a few presents under. A lady from the front desk smiled at them.

"Mr. Kozume's?" She asked. Hinata nodded vigorously and she nodded, grabbing some files. The lady motioned for them to follow her and took them into a room. In this room, a few children were running around and playing. Giggles were heard very often.

Kenma and Shoyo looked around and spotted a little, black-haired boy. He was sat in a corner, playing with a small bunny by himself.

"Ko?" The woman called, the boy's head raised quickly and his eyes widened. A small smile sat on his lips and he looked back down, hugging his toy. He set it down and slowly walked over. "Hi, Ko! C'mon, let's go into a different room, okay?" He nodded and they all walked out back to the main room.

Kenma looked down at his hand that Ko was holding onto. He smiled, maybe this isn't so scary. They walked to the house with Shoyo glancing back every once in a while. Shoyo unlocked the door and they went inside.

"This is your new home now!" Hinata smiled at him. "And we are your dad's!"

Ko looked at them and looked back down. Kenma pursed his lips, thinking. "Wanna see your room?" The boy slowly nodded and Kenma picked him up gently. They walked into the room and Ko's face seemed to lift. It was still plain since they didn't know what he wanted. There was a small bed with red blankets, a stuffed bear about the size of Ko, an old 3DS with some easier games, (What did you expect from Kenma?) a small desk, and a bean bag chair.

The little boy wriggled out of Kenma's arms and walked over to the 3DS. He picked it up.

"Can... Can I play this...?" He mumbled. Kenma smiled and nodded.

"Here, let me show you how!"

Shoyo leaned against the door frame and smiled. Life was perfect.

"Ko, time to wake up! It's Christmas!" Hinata gently shook the small child. Ko slowly sat up and rubbed his eyes with his small hands. They left the room and went towards the tree in the living room. The adoption center had them make lists to Santa, so she sent the couple a copy for Ko.

Kenma handed a small present to the boy. "..For me?" He asked. They nodded and he messily took off the wrapping paper. He gasped, "Zorua!" Ko hugged the small Pokemon. Apparently, he watched a lot of Pokemon and Zorua was his favorite.

They finished unwrapping the presents from under the tree. "Hey, Ko! Santa left a letter saying he dropped your present off outside!" Shoyo called. Ko wandered towards him and they went outside.

Ko's eyes widened and he smiled. "A bike!!" He called, slightly hopping. He hugged Shoyo and ran over to it. "Let's try, please, please!!"

Shoyo giggled and walked over to help him. Kenma watched them. Everything was perfect.
