it was graduation.
wow. life truely did pass like a blink of an eye.
the senpai's came to visit and congratulate us. at least they talked to me.
kageyamas parents were too busy to see kageyamas graduation and just congratulated the boy over the phone. miwa sent some presents but wasn't there.
he didn't have friends anymore.
no one came to applaud for him when his name was called.
it was scary, embarrassing and awkward that the teachers had to fill in the silence.
when the ceremony ended, he walked past many parents, teens, kids and lovers interacting with each other.
laughter and chatter could be heard but it wasn't for him. not for him.
his head was down and a mop in blackish blue hair covered his vision as he went to the garden.
once kageyama arrived to his normal spot, he sat in the garden. he plopped down onto the grass and looked out, staring into nothingness just like he always did during lunch.
the only thing there was now is him and a volleyball. even though he stopped playing for awhile.
kageyama never cried much after his break up. his stone cold demeanor and uninterested face can only be seen from the outside.
he was silent.
oh so very silent.
he bottled so much inside.
he lost his friends.
he lost volleyball.
he lost confidence.
he lost his family.
he lost his lover.
he lost himself.
yet he had to stay still like a stone. quiet and unnerved.
kageyama was alone now.
no one cared for him now.
so he let go.
his tears fell softly to his cheeks, sliding down silently as he threw his head back and just inhaled oxygen.
shoyo was supposed to be unimportant to him now. so why, why did kageyama always think about him still? there love has ended, surely kageyama can get over this?
he exhaled.
"remember the way you made me feel?
such young love, but—
something in me knew that it was real,
frozen in my head.~
pictures im living through for now,
trying to remember all the good times,
our life was cutting through so loud,
memories are playing in my dull mind I-
hate this part, paper hearts
and ill hold a piece of yours
don't think i would just forget about it..
hoping that you won't forget—"
he sang so softly, so delicately.
his hair was out of his face thanks to the wind blowing against his face.
the quiet kid was beautiful.
he sang with a broken heart, tears continuously falling as he opened his eyes, glossy and tear-filled with a longing face.
so so beautiful.
as he came to the end of the song he smiled softly.
He heard Hinata decided he was going pro. Of course he will. He'll make an amazing spiker and definitely has the potential to get into Japans National volleyball team.
Tobio Kageyama smiled. He still loved the man. The orange sun so bright and happy. Determined and never giving in. He hoped Shoyo Hinata will exceed great lengths. Maybe Atsumu-san will become Shoyo's setter. Maybe even Kenma.
Tobio Kageyama wanted Shoyo Hinata to fly as high as he can and become so happy.
Maybe there love was supposed to end this way. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be. Just a high school romance that was short lived. Such tragedy.
His tears kept falling but a soft smile formed onto his lips as he stared at the orange flower set right in front of him.
"happy graduation, tobio."
goodbye love, you flew right by love.
end of dance with the void.
writers note: the story ended. not all stories end well. now, if you want to leave the story here, then you may. for those who truly want to be less heart broke, i made another chapter. for some closure. think carefully. sometimes leaving the story at that is more satisfying, leaving the viewers imagination up to them. but if you want some closure, head to the next chapter. it'll make your heart pain lessen for a little.
writers note: haha fuck you past me, the story didn't really officially end, you can read the next chapter lol
