"Congratulations on your new health baby boy," my attending Dr. Allen said to the woman and her husband, "is there anyone in the waiting room you would like us to get?"

"Uh yes there should be a few of my friends waiting for me," the woman replied while cradling her new baby.

"Ok I will send Dr. Corman over to go get them."

As I walked down the hallway to the waiting area I looked around at the rooms filled with expecting mother's and fathers and the joy on their faces when they welcome a new baby in the world. On the other hand, I also see crying in rooms of patient's babies who sadly didn't make it or had complications, these always made me sad but I tell myself that it is life.

I finally got to the waiting area and looked down at my paper, "for Jennifer Jareau?"

As soon as I said that two women shot up from their seats, one a blonde woman in a colorful dress and the other with dark hair and a darker outfit.

"Is she ok? Is the baby ok?" The blonde woman asked.

"Yes, her and the baby are doing wonderful, I can show you to their room if you would like."

"That would be great! I can't wait to see my new godson!" The woman beamed.

They both followed me down the hallway and I heard the darker haired one say that she will let the others know what room they are in and everything went well.

That's sweet that she has so many people supporting her, I thought.

We got to the room and the women rushed into the room to see their friend and the new baby. I smiled, it always made my day to help bring someone this amount of joy.

Since I had nothing else to do at the moment, I decided I would go downstairs and get my coffee that I desperately needed. As I was walking the down the hallway I stopped abruptly when I saw a familiar face walking towards me.

"Spencer?" I questioned.

He looked up from his phone and when he saw it was me he smiled, "Rosalie, hey." I walked over to meet him.

"Another case?"

"Actually no, my best friend just had a baby," he responded, "he will be my second godson."

His smile went ear to ear, you could tell he was proud and extremely happy.

"Who is the patient?" I asked, "I could show you to the room if you would like."

"That would be wonderful! Her name is Jennifer Jareau."

"Oh no way," I said excitedly, "I just helped deliver her baby and two of your friends are already in the room."

"Really?"

"Yeah it's no problem," before I started to show him the way I decided to ask that burning question, "hey before we go to her room would you like to... maybe get coffee one day," I said nervously trying to gauge his reaction, "we don't have to if you don't want I just thought you were a very interesting person and I would like to get to know you more."

I looked at him, my face was probably as red as a tomato. He looked at me and smiled slightly.

"Yeah, I'd really like that."

I smiled back at him, trying to conceal my excitement, "do you think we could exchange phone numbers?"

"Oh yeah," Spencer reached out, "I'll put my number in your phone." I dug my phone out of my pocket and handed it to him. He put his number in my phone and gave me back my phone.

"Thank you, I can show you to your friend's room now."

After I showed Spencer to the room I headed over to the coffee shop to get the coffee I was previously on my way to get. As I was walking I took out my phone and looked at the new contact in my phone-

Spencer Reid :)

I smiled and turned off my phone, putting it back in my scrub's pocket.

As I walked over I saw Leah eating her lunch at one of the tables. I walked over to her table, pulled out a chair, and sat down. Leah looked up at me with her mouth full of food.

"Hey Leah, you will never guess what happened," I said excitedly.

Leah finished chewing her food then swallowed, "um... did you get to scrub in on a cool surgery?"

I chuckled, "no, but that would have also been amazing."

"Then what happened?"

"Ok well, after I helped with a delivery I was walking down the hallway and guess who I run into."

"Who?" Leah questioned.

"Spencer!"

"Oh my god no way!" Leah said a bit too loud, causing people at neighboring tables to look at us funny, "what was he doing here?"

"Well it just so happens that he is best friends and coworkers with the woman that I helped deliver her baby, I guess he is also the godfather of the baby boy."

"That's so cute, he obviously loves kids if he is a godfather, right up your alley," she said while winking at me.

"Dude gross, I just met the guy," I cringed.

"Rose it was a joke, but in all seriousness, did you get his number?"

"Yes, of course I did."

"Thank god now I can stop listening to you mope around the house."

"Hey," I said as I punched her in the arm, "I did not."

"Yes you did," she teased, "also don't mess up my arm, I need it if I'm going to be a world class trauma surgeon one day." I playfully rolled my eyes.

Leah got up from her chair and collected her garbage and books on the table, "ok well, congrats on getting a cool dude's phone number, but I'm wanted in the ER."

"Ok see you later, kick ass!" I waved as she walked away.

"Oh you know I will."

I then got up, got my coffee, then walked over to the elevator. I pressed the button for the bottom floor then swiped my badge since it was an "employees only" floor. The bottom floor was made of old brick tunnels that were built when the hospital was first built. They were used a lot more back then because the building was way smaller, but now it is mainly just filled with extra supplies, wandering residents, and on call rooms.

I walked down the dimly lit hallway, trying not to knock over carts of supplies, as I made my way to my on call room. In TV shows you always see people hooking up in these rooms, but I could never see myself doing that. The rooms were the size of a small bathroom and only had a very small bed and a telephone, if you were lucky they would have a shitty computer. I got to my room and lied down on the bed. I was so tired from today, I needed some rest.

As I drifted off to sleep I smiled knowing that soon I would be able to go on a date with Spencer.

a/n- ok chapter 2 is done. Are we ready for our date with Spencie??? Also I'm so sorry I suck at writing, I know my dialogue is very repetitive and I'm very bad at imagery, but I'm trying lol.

Also while reading this I feel like Rose seems a bit obsessed but I swear she's not, she's just excited because she thinks she found someone who she can connect with and trust, which you will find out later why that is hard for her! So please don't hate on her lol, she just has a crush.
