Emma's POV

"I don't understand why I can't just wait here and drive up with Justin. Why is it so important that I go with you guys" I pouted. We're going up to our mountain house in Vermont for the holidays. Justin's, Andrew's and Amber's families are coming with us and we're all spending it there, going snowboarding and stuff like that. Plus my dad's business party is held there every year. And the devil ice queen herself, aka my cousin, will be there. Fucking joy right?

I'm apparently leaving two days earlier than Justin because my parent's are lame and won't give me a legit answer to why I can't just drive up with him. He's coming up with Pattie and Jazzy.

"Because you haven't driven with us in a while, don't you miss your family?" my mother tried to guilt trip me, unfortunately winning.

"Fine" I groaned. It was like the crack of dawn, still dark outside as we were packing the car.

"Don't pout my friend, we can spend quality sister time!" Chloe teased hanging her arm around me.

"Yeah yeah yeah" I mumbled and got into the car. I was still in my pajamas and my hair was in a messy bun on the top of my hair. I took out my phone and texted Justin, even if he won't be awake for another probably six hours.

Family road trip...or road trip with boyfriend...which one sounds better to you?

I pressed send, knowing he's going to reply with a text telling me to calm down. At least Amber's leaving today as well. Her family is following us up there.

"Did you pack all your warm clothes?" my dad asked. I closed my eyes and nodded my head.

"Good" he said.

"Oh I love family road trips" my mother gushed. How can someone be so happy at this hour in the morning!

"When is the devil showing up?" I asked.

"Your cousin will be there later this evening. And I'd appreciate it if you kept things civil this year. We don't need a repeat of last year." my mother said sternly.

"Mom she totally had it coming. Dad will back me up on it" I said.

"It's true, Carly was asking for it" my dad said. Father daughter bond!

"Just because she switched your drink with sugar and salt mixed egg nog doesn't mean you had to pour it all over her at the dinner table!" my mom said. I laughed a little at the memory. Bitch didn't know what hit her.

"Just please behave, your in college this year, I expect you to act a little more adult like in situations like that" she said.

"I'll think about it" I replied.

We started driving and I was already bored.

"Wanna color?" Chloe asked me, handing me a Disney princess coloring book. We always color together,

"Yeah! I'll make Justin a picture" I said like a five year old. Your never too old for coloring. I took the book and browsed through the possible pictures I could color. I picked out one of Sleeping Beauty and Prince Charming dancing in the forrest. How adorable. But instead of making Princess Auroras hair blonde, I made it brown, since my hair is brown. Haha, don't judge. I'm a pro colorer.

The coloring took up almost an hour, but we still had ten more hours of driving.

"I'm hungry" I whined. I forgot to get breakfast before we left.
