Gretel Stories

A unique parody of the classic fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel. In this story, things get different from the original very fast, and some of the most surreal twists are added.

The last child born of a people dating back before the beginning of time, coveted by some, hunted by others - this is the story of young Gretel. Beyond beauty and imagination we follow the lives of young Gretel and her brother Hans, as her only daughter relives their past through a forgotten diary. A story of the love and connection between brother and sister, they have only each other within a world filled with deceit and those who wish to invoke revenge for their people’s history…, and those who want to discover the secrets of the powers they possess. Book One begins with the story of Gretel, the last child born of a people who walked the deserts of the earth before the beginning of time, as she sets off in search of those still alive and in hiding for her own survival and for the very survival of the Children of The Sun. Update: April 2013: You can now purchase the complete paperback version on Amazon by searching for 'Gretel: The Children of the Sun.' Kindle version will be available mid June 2013. Book Two of 'The Children of the Sun' trilogy is currently in the works and will be available sometime in 2014. I would like to take this time to thank everyone who has taken the time to read, comment and vote on the current and previous drafts. It's been a fun ride!

Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, The Snow Queen... all fairy tales we know and love. We know their stories from one small detail to another - we know them like the backs of our own hands. But what if the versions we've all heard a thousand times before weren't the truth? What if the truth wasn't the same? What if it was... different? Welcome to Different Fairy Tales, where we'll reveal how our beloved childhood stories truly went, and where you'll see the strings weaving them together into one grand tapestry. All you need to do is close your eyes and enjoy the ride.

There were always rumours about Erik Björnson's first wife. Her children are strange enough, at any rate. When a famine strikes, Erik Björnson's second wife will have to make a tough decision. This story is part of the Fairytalez Best Villain Fairy Tale Competition.

Sometimes fairytales don't end the way we want it. For instance, Red Riding Hood was kidnapped by werwolves. And Jack climbed the beanstalk and stole the golden egg because he's a criminal on the run. And finally, after me and my brother Hansel killed that witch, we decided not to go back home to our children disowning parents, and decided to be witch hunters. And our target now: The Good Witch. A twist on fairytales, Red Riding Hood and her pack of wolves, Jack the thief, Hansel and Gretel are all on their merry ways to Oz for all their reasons, and read their all separate tales for the real stories of these fairytales.

In a remake of the popular fairytale, "Hansel and Gretel", the reader finds the characters in the modern world. Hansel and Gretel do what ever it takes to get rid of their evil stepmother. This story was written when I was in 6th grade, and I haven't changed any part of it since. This is the original and final version. Tell me what you think :)

Kill or be killed. That's the logic that Paige has lived by since the day she became what she is. A wolfblood. Sure, people don't believe in fairy tales... But maybe they just haven't heard the real story. Basically, every story you were read as a bedtime story is true... It's just not accurate to the real events. Paige was 17 when she took on a life of crime. Now in the twenty-first century she is considered a criminal, killing people for money every once in a while but mostly killing those who deserve it the most while she starts a long search for the one person she loves and hates the most. The one person she would kill for... Well if they weren't offering money. *disclaimer* I don't own any of the fairy tales or their characters and I'm gonna be changing them and most of them will be criminals so yeah just yeah whatever pal
