Modern AU where Jayce and Viktor are students in the Piltover Academy of Science. (If you had to place it somewhere in the show it would be a few months after Viktor and Jayce proved that Hextech Theory existed while floating in the air) I tried my best to understand the character personality and use them with as much realism as possible. It's far from perfect but I did my best so I hope you'll enjoy reading it!! In this fic, Viktor doesn't have a deadly illness, I know it's not true but I didn't wanna add such a sad plot to my story ! Also I do not plan on writing really detailed mature scenes so if you're looking for a fic like this, mine is sadly not the right choice. I mostly wanted to write a cute story of those two that fitted in my romantic standards. Sorry if it's not perfect, English is not my first language ! Don't restrain to correct my grammar if it's wrong (with kindness of course). Feedback is appreciated ! Viktor had mastered the art of goodbyes. He never took too much time, but he also never rushed through the moment. He wasn't indifferent, and always expressed his emotions out loud. Yet, he wasn't too cheesy or cliché with his words and avoided exaggerated displays of affection. For Viktor, goodbyes were about leaving his loved ones with genuine and beautiful smiles. Jayce was the type to miss people really easily. And Intensely. He was the type of friend who would sprint down the corridors, yelling exuberantly when he saw his friends after a summer break. That was one of the first things Viktor learnt about Jayce, when they first met. So the fact that Jayce was not here to greet his friends and brighten everyone's morning was unusual, to say the least. It didn't add up. And Viktor couldn't shake the guilt he felt. "Maybe it is your fault, you idiot." The thought kept running through his head. Or in other words, where Viktor tries to fix the relationship he had broken. Starry eyed lovers have to overcome their differences in two cities that are built to separate them. Viktor's a mage from Zaun, and Jayce is an academic from Piltover, a city that has outlawed the expression of magic.

This was supposed to be a Vikayce fic but it got consumed by scientific jargen so its unclear if it will actually end up with any slach content. Jk there def will be 0,..,< Anyways this is all the scientific papers Jayce and Viktor wrote.

Setting: Arcane Season 2 Act 2. This fanfiction is an AU where Jayce doesn't travel to future Piltover but, like Ekko and Heimerdinger, ends up in an alternate universe where Hextech never existed. Viktor Čapek has never met Jayce Talis in his life. Sure, they have a few classes together, but they've exchanged nothing more than mindless glances. Viktor is too focused on his studies to even think about trying to make new friends. Jayce, though also preoccupied with his studies, already has a group of friends that are near and dear to him. So, when Viktor has a dream concerning Jayce, he chalks it up to being sleep-deprived. Perhaps he's just been staying up too late studying. But then, the dreams continue, becoming more vivid each time. Sometimes, he's having a conversation with Jayce; sometimes, they're working together on strange-looking experiments in a dimly lit lab. It's not long before these dreams begin to feel more like memories. Jayce, meanwhile, finds himself daydreaming about Viktor in the middle of class. That, in itself, wasn't unusual - he had a bad habit of zoning out when he got bored - but every one of these daydreams was centered around Viktor. Often he sees himself hunched over a lab table next to Viktor, working alongside the man in comfortable silence. Other times, he swears he can hear snippets of a conversation held between him and Viktor. Every time, he feels a deep sense of déjà vu, like these events have somehow already happened to him. It's clear that having normal college lives at Piltover University simply isn't in the cards for these two. The universe has no plans to sit back and let them avoid one another - at least, not for long.

Viktor has his credit stolen time and time again by the face of progress, Jayce. And this time, he won't accept it.

Season 1 Jayce Talis and Viktor are newly appointed college professors in this universe.

After his encounter with the Viktor from the future, Jayce return to his own reality. But what's left? The original Viktor is still alone, in his world filled with desolation and loneliness. Or maybe he isn't so alone after all? Or the Viktor from the original universe get's a chance to redeem himself. 'Cause I aint letting my boy suffer alone. Arcane's characters don't belong to me !
