This collection traces my journey through the fragile and tangled years of teenagehood. Through each poem, you would get a glimpse of raw and unfiltered moments of love, heartbreak, loss, confusion and even hints of clarity. The title is more than just a name : it is a metaphor of growth and acceptance . Each year, each experience was a petal unfolding . Some were soft like teenage innocence while others were jagged, stained with blood, weathered by heartbreak and resilient in reaching. Some were glowing red under the eternal sunlight of euphoria while others were withered due to the droughts of insecurity and floods of pent up emotions . But together these roses compose the bouquet of my becoming. Just some short-lived experiences

Over the course of the last year or so, I have written a collection of poetry. Some are better than others and it is clear that there has been improvement. Each chapter will be a single poem ranging from something as short as a haiku to however long a free verse is. You'll notice a consistent theme throughout the majority of the works, typically something regarding mental health, heartbreak, or love. I would like to add that some themes may make certain people uncomfortable with ideas ranging from SA to SH and such.

For when you know it'll end, you can see it happening like a train wreck, but you just ignore it and hope the inevitable crash won't hurt too much.
