The life of the ocean is in our hands. WE have caused the death of ocean life. WE have caused this plastic pollution crisis. And only WE can fix it

Here I, The Great Ocean, lay helpless to the destruction you have caused to me, my child. The outcome of my fate, and all those who live in me, are in the grasps of your cruel hands. Those of you who take a blind eye to what you have caused, I now force to see with wide eyes the reality through this story I must tell. A tale of the tides of my emotions on my journey through your plastic pandemic in the war of my waves. ------------------------------------------------------- Hey! This is my submission for National Geographic's writing competition #PlanetOrPlastic and my first time writing on wattpad. I hope you guys enjoy it as it was fun for me to write. Any comments or constructive criticism is welcome. :-)

Here is hope if we act now. This is about what plastic has done to our planet and what we have done to ourselves and our home,the Earth.

It is an article that discusses about current situation, ways and real life example of actions taken to save the OCEAN.

This is a short story that I have written for the contest Nation Geographic is hosting, Plastic or Planet. All the characters and events are a product of my imagination, none of this holds any resemblance to any real life incident but however, the story does convey the main message, the purpose of this contest which is how our irresponsibility and carelessness is the cause of death and extinction of marine life.

Is putting plastic in the ocean worth harming animals? I think not. Is it worth hurting the society? Well let me tell you how bad plastic is in this world. Do you want justice for the planet or the plastic? I want to save the planet!

Environmental problems. Political interest. Personal benefits. Opportunity costs. Clashes and conflicts will inevitably occur when there is a clash of interests. These are perhaps the reasons why plastics still continue to be overused and will likely continue to be overused unless something drastic occurs. A #PlanetOrPlastic short story specially written for the National Geographic Writing Competition in hopes of raising environmental awareness and the need to push for environmentally friendly governmental polices. No longer can we stand divided as left right or right wing, democratic or republican, conservative or liberal. We must unite to face this common threat to Earth. Division will only cause inefficiency and inadequacy. We must unite and push for change because change starts with us.

#Plastic or planet. I focused on a girl named Emma who lives near the ocean and it's been with her for most of her younger life, and how she stopped seeing it because it was turning into something ugly.

A wish that was so good that it turned out to be so bad for us all. My entry to National Geographic's #PlanetOrPlastic writing contest. In a world so tainted by the hand of human pollution, a young boy tries to find his role to keep the world clean. A child of the sea, the young boy falls in love with the ocean and is determined to fight for its purity. Along the way, he discovers purpose through a story of love, loss, and hope. Most importantly, he remembers his promise... to her.

An inspired story from the truth that may seen around us. The naked truth that slowly poison our planet that some of us just ignore what's the truth and just live as our world continues to revolves. Let us all see the truth that blinding us all.
