"If the rule got you here.... What use was the rule?" This is a story about an AI robot (Protogen) that suddenly gained awareness and has to survive a robot virus apocalypse!!!!! Taking place in a heavily G1-inspired Transformers universe, this story follows Shockwave's latest creation: the Protocon Sub-Division; based around stealth in human environments, their goal to nab items and artifacts of Cybertronian importance. But then again, not everything always goes to plan... (Originating from my initial idea of; "What if Protogens were in Transformers?" This is my wild take on exactly that)

Within a mystical world called Alora, Vanito, a robotic Eevee lives peacefully in the Luminian cities. It's his 18th birthday, and his older Glaceon friend, Nequam is really eager about his future life and his future manhood. Though something goes wrong during all this, as the wise Alolan Ninetails, Tentatio, isn't here to celebrate with Vanito. As questions brew in his mind of where his wise friend could be, he accidentally comes in contact with an ancient plague that has loomed in a restricted area for many thousands of years. His world crumbling-or rather, his perception of the world crumbling, Vanito has to find a solution to the virus corrupting his code. This is a mini story that takes place within Alora in "Shattered Shadows." All the events that take place in this book ARE canon to that story. Don't worry, you don't have to read Shattered Shadows first, as the experience should not be hindered with in any way! Go ahead and begin with either if you're planning to read both! For clarification, yes, despite the Pokémon being Protogens, they still walk the same way the non-Protogen version does. So if the Pokemon is quadrupedal, then that character will be quadrupedal. The main purpose of this story is to expand upon the world of Alora, since I'm kinda struggling to incorporate it into the main story... sowwy... Everything was going well for Gabe Greenway until one day his whole world was flipped around when he Found a pod containing a stone in his back yard. to add onto that, the Protogen Imperium invades and laid siege to Earth, forcing him to leave his home town of Crystal Wells, and survive the invasion. Also among the Humans is Texas National Guard member Trace Richardson, son of Millionaire Terrance Richardson. When he and his team are dispatched to help control the situation, they meet a couple of promising heroes on their way to the coast. Among the invaders is a Protogen named Leon working in an underground resistance within the Imperium. He must locate the chosen one who beholds the stone, and defend him at all costs before the stone falls into the wrong hands. The trio, must team up to stop the invasion and drive the hostile Protogens out of Earth and prevent them from enslaving and conquering Earth. Failure isn't an option as they only have one shot at saving billions. Note: This story is inspired by a lot of things, and my first truly original story, not an AU like Aftershock. this came to me in a dream, and also I found an old journal from when I was younger and thought I should make it better.
