~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~♡~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 𝑺𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒎 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒇 𝒂 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒛𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒎𝒏. 𝑨 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅𝒃𝒚𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆, 𝒂 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔. He calls me September when he looks deep into my eyes. He calls me September when he looks away in annoyance. And when we meet again, after all the seasons between us, he pulls me into his arms and whispers- "𝑺𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒆." Perhaps I was never just a month to him. Perhaps I was every ending that carried the promise of beginning again. Perhaps I was September-making him warm and cold at the same time. This is a collection of poems written in 2017. Each part is a single poem. My writing goal for 2017 was to write at least as many poems over the course of the year as I could, and I surprised myself by writing a total of 81 poems. Hope you enjoy them!

A sestina on the loss of a king and the king's loss.

Sestina Length: 39 Lines Stanzas: 6 sestets and 1 tercet Metrical requirements: None Rhyme scheme: None. Rather, emphasis is placed on the last words of each line, which are repeated throughout the poem and then reused to form the final tercet. Yes, it's tricky. The sestina form hails from Italy, and the earliest known sestina was written at the turn of the 13th century. As most things do, the sestina changed slightly when it was reintroduced to American poets; nonetheless, this relatively unchanged poetry form remains a headache to write for poets everywhere. The sestina is composed of 6 sestets, as well as a final 3 line envoi (concluding stanza). (Note: this envoi is optional, and some sestinas eschew it.) In a sestina, special attention is placed on the last word in each line. These words are repeated throughout the poem in a special pattern, essentially forming the poem's backbone.

A collection of poems mostly revolving around resolving past traumas, but there will also be some very random poems thrown in. All kinds of poetry styles.
