Oriella Brix is the next heir to the vampire throne but after her sister, the queen is attacked by a group of werewolves, security within the royal vampire society increases as they begin recruiting vampires and humans. Oriel isn't a fan of humans and only wants a team of vampires. But with impending vampire recruits still undergoing training at the academy and not ready yet, her advisor seeks out and employs a team of humans to protect the new Queen. Oriel is appalled but goes along with it as she has no choice.
