Parole Officer Dawn Lawson, an engaged lesbian who thinks she has everything she needs in life finds out that she had just the opposite when she meets Karina Cabello, a gang member who recently got out of jail and has a history of violence and chaos.

Karina has known nothing but the streets her whole life. Her gang leader, Nika, who she grew up with, does not care about parole, jail, or just about anything for that matter.
