Instead of yelling at Luke for saying those things, and instead of defending myself, I only nodded in agreement. I was a burden. I was a waste. I was evil. I did that to Luke; it was my fault that his life turned out like this.

And what could I do about it? Say 'sorry' and try to be friends again? No! I screwed up his life, and now he'a going to have to go through torture, all because of me.

"I just don't want you to ruin that girl's life. She has it good, please don't ruin it for her." Like sighed while wiping his nose. I guessed that he was referring to Genevieve. "You have the tendency to hurt everyone you come in contact with. I may not know her, but I know the pain that you bring. Do me one favour. Do one thing right: just... Just don't keep her too close, okay?"

I nodded. I did hurt everyone that I cared about. I hurt Luke, I ruined my parents life when I was born. My siblings probably died because of me, too.

"I won't." I promised him. "I won't let her in."

Luke patted me on the shoulder. "I just don't want another person to have to go through that pain."

"You don't need to rub it in!" I sighed while tugging at my hair. "I'm a bad omen. I get it. Now would you just leave me alone?"

Luke raised his hands up in surrender. "Yeah, don't get snippy now!" He tried to chuckle. "I'm just trying to keep her safe. Safe from you."
