AN: HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!! GOD BLESS!!

The T.V. hummed quietly in the background as I fiddled with my computer. In a knitted, white oversized sweater and some black leggings, I typed away on my Macbook as I tried to finish my computers work for a technology class. I pulled my long legs up towards my chest and placed my computer upon my knees.

While turning my head, I set my attention to watch the T.V. I chuckled as Patrick from Spongebob made another stupid remark. "Who you calling Pin-Head?" He asked Spongebob, which earned another small laugh from me. Yes, I was 18 and I still watched Spongebob.

Upon turning my attention back to my Macbook, my phone began to ring. I picked it up without checking the caller I.D.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Gen!" The two voices of Anna and Victoria yelled happily. I winced slightly while pulling the black cordless house phone away from my ear.

"Are you busy?" Victoria asked.

"Quite busy, actually." I half lied while glancing back to my T.V. "I have tons of homework and stuff. I also have a hot date tonight so I can't really..."

"Quit lying, Genevieve! I know that you have nothing to do." Anna sassed me. "You're probably at home writing an extra assignment just for fun while watching Spongebob or something."

Suddenly scared, I looked over my shoulder and out of my frosted glass window in the back of my living room, trying to see if they were watching me. "How do you know what I'm doing?" I asked.

"I can hear the T.V. and clicking of the keyboard keys through the phone, you idiot." I could practically hear the eye roll in her voice. She probably pursed her full pink lips and had a small hand on her hip. "Go put on something descent. Vic and I are taking you to the mall so we can all hang out."

"I actually can't." I sighed. "Even though it's an assignment for bonus marks, I still need to finish it. Plus, I have to type up the answers to my interview..."

"The interview with that homeless kid?" Anna asked. "You're still seeing that thing?" I groaned. Vic scolded her.

"He has a name, Anna." I snapped back. I could tell that she pursed her lips.

"Does it look like I care about his name?" She replied rudely. "How many times have you met with him, anyways?"

"I've actually only met with Ashton once." I made sure to stress his name. "We'll be seeing each other a lot more often soon, though. You know that I'm studying him for my work project!"

Anna sighed with relief. "Ugh, I haven't even started that yet. Anyways, it's a good thing that you're using him for something. For a moment there, I actually thought that you started to like him or something."

I scoffed. "No, of corse not!" I scoffed. I felt a little bit bad for taking such offence to that, but Ashton and I just met once! We aren't even friends yet!

"Is he still stuck up and rude?" Anna laughed. "He didn't seem to like you buying him some food." I chuckled.

"Anna shut up!" Victoria scolded. I just giggled at the two.

"Ashton can be quite... Cranky sometimes. Well, all the time." I giggled. A picture of him at our last meeting ran through my mind. A group of teenagers had stopped and stared at us when we were talking, which made him spit some choice words their way.

She laughed loudly. "Hopefully the brute doesn't have a crush on you." She giggled.

I coughed awkwardly and mumbled a lame excuse to hang up. With haste, I hung up the phone and threw my head back on my black sofa and sighed. Why can't she just accept that I'd be seeing him again?
