My Ray of Sunshine

After being stuck in the Refuge for seven years, Jack Kelly's twin sister, Raya Kelly, is finally released after the strike. Race and Albert were present when Raya was brought in to the Refuge barely able to stay in consciousness, but it wasn't the Delancey's or Weisel's doing. As kids, Jack and Raya were abused by their rich parents. When their parents were fed up with the twins far enough, they kicked Jack to the curb and sent Raya to the Refuge where she took care of the Newsies brought in each day.

Once the strike ends and the Refuge is shut down, Raya and the other Newsies are released, including the innocent Crutchie. Raya and Crutchie became fast friends in the two weeks Raya had known Crutchie. Once released, Raya has a chance to see the boys who escaped the night she was taken as well as her now seventeen-year-old twin brother, Jack. She never expected to fall for one of the escapees seven years ago.
