When Icarus fell into the sea, he wasn't found until weeks later, when Daedalus had finally given up searching. Now, his winged descendants live in the sky kingdom Empyrea, fighting an endless war with Icaria to save themselves from being bought and sold into slavery.

Over a century later, however, one side of the war falters and a betrothal is proposed in order to bring peace. But when Empyrea's prince, Atlas, follows through with the treaty, he soon starts to find that the betrothal will lead to much more than was agreed upon.

When paths meet and fates cross, for better or for worse, will Atlas be able to rise to throne and truly end the war for good?
