The Greek philosopher Plato said, "Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything." Vhea, an eighteen-year-old city girl, had an inkling that partnering Earl Harris, a nineteen-year-old archer who had lost his hearing, for their school's music project, in which they must compose and perform one Filipino and one English song, wouldn't be as easy as eating soup with a spoon. Notebooks and pens served as their means of communication, as they searched for inspiration to create a spectacular work together. Little did they know that in creating a masterpiece, they gradually produced a strange sound, a sound that linked them together. Could this sound be the driving force for their souls to be inseparably connected, or will it just eventually become a memento of their unexpected bond? - Book Cover Illustration by Estheticah
