Chris Hogan is a rich architect from New York and he hates Christmas. This doesn't stop him from building the biggest Christmas village every year. His only objective in building the village is to win an annual contest in an architectural magazine. This year, Chris will find himself stuck inside his own Christmas village with one week to find how to get back to his real life. When Chris buys a new piece for his village, an arch with the name "Merryville", Chris doesn't know that the arch holds a magical power that will bring the entire village to life on Christmas Eve. As Chris passes by the village on his way to bed, he sees the arch glowing and he wakes up inside the village, along with Arthur, who has been trapped in the magic of the arch for 10 years. Figurines become real people, and the houses and buildings become real shops and restaurants. In his effort to get back to his real life in New York, Chris realizes he has to set right everything he disturbed since arriving in Merryville. If not, he will be taken inside Merryville forever. But something else happens that Chris never expects-thanks to the real people of Merryville, his New York life will never be the same.
