"This has all been a game to you, hasn't it? From the moment I arrived you played this sick game- gosh! I don't even know who you are anymore!" I told him, my voice echoing in the empty semi lit tunnel.

"What do you want from me, Gemma? Huh?Tell me what the fuck do you want!"

"I want the guy I once knew back!" I shouted.

Eric laughed bitterly. The sound so eerie that it sent a shiver down my spine. The humor in his blue eyes slowly faded away and was replaced with their signature harsh coldness. He was unrecognizable to me, a stranger and that reality was slowly starting to hit me.

"I hate to break it to you, sweetheart, but the guy you knew is gone. Wake up from that fucking fantasy land, will you, initiate?" Eric said in a low and dangerous voice, his face a few inches away from mine.

We stared at one another for a few more seconds. The stinging in my eyes burned with tears that were forming, but I refused to let them fall. Eric on the other hand kept holding my gaze. There was no sign of the guy I knew, the best friend I grew up with. Instead he was replaced with a colder and darker version of him. Maybe he was truly gone...
