When Kimberly's boyfriend ditches her for the head cheerleader - apparently, third isn't good enough, Nick needs first - she's heartbroken. What will she do now? What's a cheerleader without a hot boyfriend? She won't really miss Nick himself, Kimberly realizes. Does that make her a bad girlfriend? She's sure that Nick only dated her for the title, too. Uncomfortable with so much free time, Kimberly searches for something to fill the space, and comes across a flyer - for the Paper Hand Theater. Apparently, they make huge paper mache puppets and put on a play. Why not, Kimberly thinks, it's just as good as anything else would be. And this hippie puppet thing? It makes Kimberly feel so free, so light without all of the social expectations. She's flying on the ground. In "dear diary" form. THIS IS A FIRST DRAFT. I APOLOGIZE FOR ANY MISTAKES AND INVITE YOU TO POINT THEM OUT. This is my story! Please don't copy it. As told primarily from Kimberly's POV.
