Dear diary,
Our first aerial class was today. They started off with the basics so that the newcomers would eventually make it to where Charles is, and I got most of it! It was only footlocks, wristlocks, and slings today, which Charles could do with his eyes shut, but next time it'll be sequences from footlocks! Charles showed me a crossback straddle, which I don't think I'll be doing anytime soon, unless someone implants circus muscle memory into my mainframe.
There was a poster for Paper Hand inside the aerial workout room. I really do need to find out where I can sign up for that thing, or try out, or whatever it is that I have to do. Maybe if I ask Olive - she introduced all of the others to Paper Hand, so I think that she probably has the most information.
There's a new cheerleader on the team, a brunette. She can easily do all of the moves, but she's kind of bratty. Juliette came up to me and begged me to come back, asked if I'd just come back for the rest of the year, pleaded with me. She basically got on her knees.
Somehow, all I could feel was pity for her.
I said no.
